Jasper let out a shaky sigh looking at himself in the mirror one last time. His chocolatey brown curls looked wild as ever peeking out from under the dark hood he had pulled over his head. His greenish hazel eyes paused at the freckles that littered his face annoyed by their presence. Many people thought of his freckles as one of his best features but Jasper just saw it as a fuck you from the sun forever imprinted on his face. Once his eyes moved on from his face they made their way down to his outfit.

Jasper never had an eye for fashion. He just threw on whatever he had lying around his room and today was no exception. He had paired a black hoodie with a pair of loose fitting dark wash jeans he had rolled up at the ends to make it seem like they fit him better. Jasper usually wore baggy clothes to hide his small and fragile figure which he saw as a weakness. To complete the look he slipped on some off brand vans not bothering to tie them.

'What a great start to my junior year.' Jasper though sarcastically to himself pulling out his phone and seeing his bus was going to be fifteen minutes late. With an unsatisfied sigh Jasper grabbed his backpack and ran downstairs stealing a piece of toast from the counter and heading out. Quickly devouring his breakfast as he speed walked to school Jasper put his earbuds in hoping for a peaceful day.

Jasper let out heavy breaths as he finally got to school on time after some light jogging. Quickly collecting himself as stuffed his earbuds back in his bag his eye twitched at the familiar smell of smoke near him. After scanning the area he found the culprit to be none other then some preppy douche leaning against the school cigarette in hand. He was a bit shorter than Jasper but no doubt a student wearing a black hat pulled over his eyes with bright red hoodie and torn back jeans. Jasper rolled his eyes seeing that this lowlife was in his way and decided to give him a little nudge as he walked by.

Trying to conceal his smirk Jasper conveniently bumped into the student causing him to stumble slightly. Jasper didn't acknowledge the incident continuing to walk towards the school. He didn't think much of it until he felt a sharp pull backwards so he was face to face with this unknown person.

The stranger had grabbed a handful of Jasper's hoodie and had tugged him back with all his might to face him. Jasper started into the strangers piercing blue eyes feeling as though they were looking into his soul. It took Jasper a while to finally stop staring at this guy and register what he was saying.

"Hey, asshole I'm talking to you." He said with a higher voice then Jasper expected.

"What?" Jasper asked still trying to rip his eyes away from this guy.

"Apologise." He mumbles still holding onto Jasper's sweatshirt. Jasper's eyes trail down to his hand wondering what to do.

"Why?" Jasper asks slowly gaining his courage again. The strangers entire facial expression changes into one of rage.

"Why? You bumped into me for no god damn reason!" He says raising his voice catching a few eyes as people walk by. Jasper looked around hoping they're not making too much of a scene.

"Lower your voice man. It's not like I did that on purpose." Jasper hisses lying through his teeth.

"Bullshit. If I hear one more word out of your mouth that isn't an apology I'll-"

"You'll what?" Jasper says cutting him off. "Try and hit me? I don't think so dipshit take a look at yourself. Have fun with your cancer sticks." Jasper spits placing his hands on the strangers chest and pushing him off.

Jasper turns around to start walking into school knowing this punk already made him late when he hears something from behind him. Jasper rolls his eyes his stubbornness getting the better of him not wanting he stranger to have the last word he turns around.

     "Wha-"

He was cut off by a sucker punch to the face knocking him out cold. That was definitely not Jasper's first fight in fact he was usually quite brutal and had trouble keeping his fists to himself. In any case he wasn't expecting a punch to the face from someone he had never met before on the first day of school so he let his guard down. Big mistake.
