GET THE HELL UP YOU MAGGOTS!! BREAKFAST IS IN 15 MINUTES!!! IF YOU'RE LATE YOU GO HUNGRY!!!!!!!!!

Heads shot up from their blankets. A few hit were unfortunate to hit their head on the ceiling while others yelled out in surprise. You however were already wide awake and had already finished showering and changed for the day. 5:30 am was nothing compared to the usual time that i woke up at. 

Shadis looked around to see only you dressed and ready in attention. He gave everyone a final scream before turning to you and giving you a slight nod and walking out of the room. Eren walked up, eyes wide, "Y/N how are you already awake and ready to go?," he asked with a hint of admiration in his voice.

"Force of habit i guess, i always wake up early in the mornings so that i can get training and other tasks done," i replied in a stoic tone. 

I stepped outside breathing in the fresh air before making my way to the dining area. To my surprise, only one other person was there. It was the blonde haired girl from last night. She gave me a look of surprise before quickly covering it up with the cold, expressionless face from last night. "I see you're up early as well," i commented trying to keep my tone casual. However inside i felt excited to see that someone shared my habits. "Yeah, nice detection skills," she muttered before grabbing a plate of food and sitting down on a bench in the corner of the room. 

I was grabbed my own plate and was starting to walk towards her direction before the two recruits i saw last night that was with her last night, came in. "Hey! Whats your name?" the blonde haired boy asked. He had a large solid build with eyebrows that slanted upwards giving off almost an angry vibe. The boy next to him was much taller, a little taller than me but had a skinnier frame along with a face that made him look like he was about to break down crying.

"Morning, the names Y/N, nice to meet you," i replied extending my hand. They both took it and introduced themselves. The blonde one was Reiner Braun while the dark haired one was Bertolt Hoover. We sat down on a separate bench to Annie, "Are you excited about hand to hand combat?" Reiner asked. "Yeah, I'm not too bad at hand to hand combat and i want to see how everyone fights." With that comment, the doors opened and the rest of the recruits started streaming in interrupting the conversation that you had with the two. 

Little did you know that during that conversation, Annie had been watching you intently and was listening to every word you said.

ALRIGHT!!!! TIME FOR MOMENT THAT MOST OF YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!! I WILL BE DECIDING THE PAIRS SO THAT NONE OF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONVERSE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!

"Y/N YOU WILL BE PAIRING UP WITH ANNIE LEONHARDT!"

As everyone started to move towards a more open area, Annie turned towards me lifting up her arms to a head height. She stared at me with those cold blue eyes. I was intrigued. I had never seen the stance that she was using and i was eager to find out more. 

I smiled, "I see you're eager to fight,"

"Just get on with it,"

I twirled the dagger in my fingers before moving towards her with blinding speed. To my surprise, she ducked from the blow and swiped at me with her legs. I blocked with my shin and returned an overhand strike. She blocked it with her arms forming a cross to stop my cut. However i had already prepared for that move and i dropped the dagger and caught it with my other hand with another swipe. She leapt back narrowly avoiding the cut. Her eyes were wide with shock and she studied me intently. Obviously she was not prepared for my attack. 

I gave her a quick smile before i resumed my attack. I feinted a swipe before ducking down and grabbing one of her legs, pulling her to the ground. I held the dagger to her throat. I leaned down towards her ear, "I win." She shivered as my breath tickled her ear. "Not likely," I looked up to see her smiling before she wrapped her legs around my neck chocking my airway. I tried to break free from her vice like grip. My vision was turning black as my body was cut off from oxygen. 

Grunting with tremendous effort i pushed my self up before jumping back down on the floor. We both landed with a hard thump. Groaning she loosened her legs a second. But a second was all i needed to break free and place my the edge of my dagger back on her throat. This time i made sure that i stayed well away from her arms and legs. Both of us were panting from the fight. I stood up slowly and extended my hand. She took it cautiously before i pulled her up.

I must have not been controlling my strength after the fight, because i yanked a little harder than intended and she fell into my chest. I blushed profusely apologising. I looked down and was shocked that instead of anger forming in her face, she had a little blush as well and was avoiding her eyes. 

Everyone seemed to have stopped fighting of their own accord and was watching the little moment. I looked back at them. "What?! Stop staring!" I apologised to Annie once more as she walked off to lean against one of the walls.
