Hey. I'm Thorpe. Just your average, every day seen 17 year old dude.. okay, maybe not really.
I was born as the unexpected child. My mother was told she only had one bun in the oven, but when it came to her giving birth, she and my father found out there were two instead of one. My twin brother was born first, exactly 11 minutes before I shot out.
I always thought that maybe because he was the first born, that was why my parents seemed to favour him the most. It's always Alec this and Alec that, over and over again on repeat every day of my miserable life.
Okay, maybe it's not 100% miserable, I do have the good times, usually followed by the bad times. I have the best friends I could ever ask for, along with enemies. I mean, who doesn't have enemies during high school? Even the nicest of people have them. Like.. Livia Towers, who happens to be 1/4 of my best friends. She's the sweetest, she's always looking out for me and the others and well, she's not afraid to stand her own ground either.
Me and my friends, we're just a group of complete nobodies, outcasts and losers. We're all completely different, which makes us all so close and special in our own ways.
Along with Livia, there's me, Thorpe Gallagher, the gay one of the group. My secret came out about a year ago when Ryder Levi took screenshots of my emails and posted them online to the WHOLE school. Guess that's what I get for leaving my computer unattended.. but I had to print off my summers assignment because I totally forgot about it and didn't do it during the summer holidays..
Anyway, then there's Clare Byers, Honestly one of the purest hearts out there that I know. She's amazing at video games, she always seems to know what she's doing and every time I play with her, she just wrecks me completely. She although, does have her flaws, but everyone has flaws, that's just the way of life. Even the people who seem to be the most perfect have flaws. Again, for example, Kobi Dylan, the real life drama queen that reminds you of the neat freaks in films. Then there's Gloria Barrett, the gorgeous blonde who's life is an entire cliche. I mean, come on, she's the goddamn captain of the cheer-leading squad..
Anyway, enough about the popular ones. Back to my losers club. Next on the list is Kris Parker. She use to be one of our enemies for sure. She use to hang around with Ryder and the drama queens every day. Until Ryder broke up with her and she just somehow managed to push herself into our group. But I'm glad she did. I totally couldn't live without her precious soul in my life.
Then.. well there's Will Jonas. I have no clue how this dark haired knucklehead of a jock ended up as one of us. He's far from being a loser, but he's not exactly one of the smartest coins in the bag. Ignore my terrible jokes.. I'm not one of the genius' either. Okay, enough about me, for now. This is my story after all, so you're going to be reading a lot about me. Will, he was friends with Ryder before he became one of us. He didn't like the way he was treating me, Livia and Clare, who are the originals of the group, and he quit being friends with them. But he's still a jock, just not one of the popular ones.
Wow, don't think I've ever heard someone being classed as a 'unpopular jock' before. That makes him special I guess. We're all special.. just in our own ways.
Oh and before I forget, I have a sister, a younger sister who's 16 now. Her name is Meredith, she's into acting and right now, she's getting ready for an audition for the school production of 'Annie' who she's just dying to play the role of. And as I said before, I can't live without her. I can't live without my parents either and although my twin is in fact, the better twin, I still need him to be complete.
I think that's all you really need to know, for now anyway. So without further or do, let's get right into the story. But be warned, it's full of drama.
