"Why don't we ditch this party?"

You nod your head up and down enthusiastically.

"Should you let your friend know you are headed out?"

You didn't even think of telling Mike you were leaving. "Let me see if I can find him real quick," you say walking down the stairs. Giancarlo's hand lingers in yours long enough for you to notice, and you can't help but smile.

The downstairs is even more crowded than you remember. You walk into the kitchen and find Mike rustling around in the fridge.

"Hey," you say grabbing his arm.

"What's up?" he says with a slice of pizza hanging out of his mouth.

"I'm leaving. I just didn't want you looking for me."

"Leaving? We just got here," he replies.

"I know, but I'm headed out with Giancarlo Stanton." Mike's eyes widen.

"Are you serious, (Y/N)?

"Yup! Love you, gotta go, bye!" you say running off. You turn the corner and smack into Giancarlo's chest. He grabs your arms to stabilize you.

"Easy there," he says laughing.

"Sorry," you mutter under your breath. "I'm ready to go."

He's smiling down at you, and you find yourself gazing into his eyes. You shake your head and try to remind yourself that you should probably not be freaking out over a guy right now. Especially this guy. Especially when you are very much so intoxicated.

"Let's go," he says holding his hand out to you. You grab his hand, and you maneuver your way through the crowd. You notice a couple of people staring at you, but you keep your head down and follow his lead. You walk outside into the humid night and let go of his hand. He has his phone pulled out and is speaking to someone.

"Yeah, I'm all done," he laughs. "I know man, but I'm ready.

You fiddle with the hem of your dress a bit as your heel digs into the ground. You lose your balance slightly and Giancarlo reaches over and grabs your arm. He hangs up the phone with this other hand and smiles at you.

"My ride is just around the block."

"Perfect. I swear I'm not as drunk as I look. My heel got stuck in the ground," you say laughing.

He laughs with you and places his hand on your lower back. He slightly pulls on your waist and you move closer to his body. There is a pretty big height difference between the two of you even with your heels on, and you find yourself gazing up at him. A black car pulls up to the driveway and slows to a stop. Giancarlo opens the rear door and motions for you to enter the car. You slide down to the seat behind the driver and he gets in after you.

"Hey boss. Where are we heading?" the driver mumbles.

"Back to my place," he says giving you a look confirming that was still the plan.

You give him a thumbs up and a big smile. He moves over closer to you in the car and his knee bumps against yours. He reaches his arm behind your head and rests it on the back of the seat.

"You good?" he says glancing down at you.

"Yeah, I'm great," you respond as you reach your hand out to his thigh. He wraps his hand around yours and brings your fingers to his lips. He playfully pretends to bite them and you start laughing. He smiles at you and lowers your hand back to his lap as he looks out the window.

The rest of the ride was fairly uneventful. There was some small talk, but for the most part, you held hands in silence just waiting for the moment you were alone. The car enters the driveway of a beautiful home. There are lights on outside illuminating the property, and it is completely breathtaking. Giancarlo gets out of the car first and runs around to your side to open the door. He gives you a hand as you exit the car. He leans down and says something to the man driving the car, but you are still so shocked by the beauty of the house you barely notice him. The car starts to reverse and it snaps you out of the trance you find yourself in. Giancarlo reaches for your hand again and nods his head towards the front door. You let him lead the way and you follow him up the stone path. He pulls keys out of his front pocket and fumbles with them as he opens the front door. He let's go of your hand to unlock the door. He pushes the door open, flicks on the light switch, and tosses his keys on a table. The modern looking home is even more beautiful than you could have imagined. Giancarlo turns around and smiles at you bashfully.
