Krist's POV
I feel much better after sending that text.
After I arrived at my house, I head straight to my room and collapse on my bed. I reach out to my air-con controller, switching it on, tuning the temperature to its lowest degree. It is so hot today.
I manage to sleep for a couple of hours before I wake up around 5. Since I promised my friends to meet them at 6, I rush to the bathroom for a quick shower and get dressed. I wear a comfy sport pant with a sleeveless red jersey. After gathering my bag and shoving in my towel, my phone, my wallet and my keys, I head out. I stop by the kitchen to get a bottle of chilled water and browse on my phone, planning to text my friends. It wasn't until I reach the front door that I realized I have a new message on my phone.
"You have already finish your class? So early... or are you using your phone during activities?"
Eih... what's up with this guy?
I glance at the time this message was sent, 2:30. Ah... He must be thinking I have evening class.
"No, P'. I don't have evening class on Friday."
I don't know why I reply back to him. It just... make sense.
I shove my phone back to my bag after sending a few text to my friends, telling them I'm already on my way.
I head out, locking the front door and ride away. I'm living alone in Bangkok as my family is in Chiang Mai. This house belongs to my dad. He used rent it out before my brothers and I came to stay. He told us we can used this house until we graduated from school. Mom keep asking me to let some of my friends to stay with me as she is worried about me living alone after my brothers gone to university. I refuse her as I love my privacy so much.
It was hard earned though. Being the youngest of three boys, privacy isn't something you get easily or frequently. Thank God both my elder brothers are away now.
I'm the first one to arrive at the basketball court. Feeling a little hungry, I walk to the nearest food stall after I park my bike.
"Sawadee, P'. Can I have a bowl of tomyum noodle please?"
"Wadee, Nong Arthit. Extra spicy as usual?"
"Khub, P."
"Go get your drink first. I'll prepare it for you."
"Thanks, P."
Moments later, I'm sitting on one of the table wolfing down my noodle with a large cup of pink milk, waiting for my friends.
---
We played for over an hour before we head back home. Feeling tired, I goes back to the noodle stall to take away some tom yum noodle for my dinner. Oh well, tom yum is favourite food, next to pink milk.
After getting both of them paid, I ride my bike home. All I can think about right now is my fluffy bed inside my cool room. I left them air conditioner on before I left home as I know I will get hot and sticky later. Not good for the electricity bill but hey, I only do this once in awhile, and not for a longer period of time.
As soon as I reach home, I got a call. Fishing around my backpack for it, I head to the kitchen, leaving my noodle on the counter and my pink milk inside the fridge.
"Sawadee, Mae."
"Wadee na, Krist. I try to call you before but you didn't answer. Are you busy?"
