Jeon Jeong-guk.
A scholarship student who has somehow made it to Korea's most famous and expensive school, steps up the polished marble tread, his head tilted up to take in the beauty of the pure white and breathtaking building.
There weren't any decorations on the building itself but it isn't even needed. The enormous school gives off an impression of intimidation, as it seems as if it towers over.
Jeongguk shudders and continues his way up the stairs, straightening his uniform as he glances at the other students attending.
'They all look so smug,' the latter thought, scrunching his nose up a little as the thought of being friends with the peers here seemed overwhelming. With a shake of his head, he ignores the excited chatters and exclaims of people and enters the school building with a slight smile. He was extremely excited. Jeongguk walks up to the main reception area, his head lowered slightly.
A receptionist, a small, wise woman looks up at the small boy through her glasses, examining the latter. This made Jeongguk shudder in anxiety.
"Hello, Sir. What is your name?" The receptionist softens her features and smiles warmly, noticing Jeongguk's nervousness.
"Jeon Jeongguk." The young boy breathes out, his heart beating fast in his chest.
"Ah, the scholarship student. Are you here for your dorm key and registration?"
Jeongguk only nods slightly, a soft look on his face. The receptionist nods also in understanding and proceeds to give Jeongguk the registration clipboard and a keycard, in which the big complies to write his name and take the object, bowing and leaving to the required area.
The young latter heaves out a sigh as he saunters through the halls of the school, ignoring everything that is surrounding him, hoping no one would talk to him. It may sound mean, but Jeongguk hates people. He hates the way that people can be so excitable over nothing and just too damn annoying. The only people he likes to be around happens to be his family or extremely quiet people who would only speak when spoken too. He likes the calm.Soon enough, he reaches to his dorm, which read out 'DORM 156-B'.
'This is it, I guess...'
As soon as he swipes the keycard and opens the door, he suddenly gets succumbed into an embrace, in which the poor young boy yelps in surprise, trying to struggle out of the grip that threatens his personal space.
"Hi there! I'm your new room mate! The name is Jimin. Park Jimin." The cheery voice exclaims, letting go of the hug.
Jeongguk immediately scrambles to the other side of the room, his figure trembling in which Jimin easily grew worried. "Ah, I'm sorry... I didn't know you'd get scared so easily," He tilts his head to the side and soon smiles brightly, pointing a finger at the still trembling figure."Hey! I know you! You're the transfer student!"
Jeongguk soon enough frowns and huffs."How do you know that?"
Jimin just laughs and shakes his head, placing his hands on his hips and sways them slightly."Everyone knows you, silly. It's not everyday a commoner is welcomed into a private school. But you're handsome, so obviously you look like you fit in anyway."
'Great..' Jeongguk thought, starting to slowly unpack his things from his suitcase into his own luxury wardrobe.
Jimin glides over to Jeongguk, his eyes wide with curiosity as he watches him unpack, in which the younger glares softly as he glances at him."Do you mind?"
Jimin's cheeks heat up slowly, shuffling away as he laughs nervously."Sorry... I'm just curious."
Jeongguk rolls his eyes and continues his work till he is finished, soon sitting on his bed in which Jimin joins."So, what's your name?"
"Jeon Jeongguk."
"Got a favourite colour?"
"No."
"Hobby?"
"No."
"Book?"
Silence.
"You're a book lover! Me too! Let me show you my collection!" Jimin exclaims and runs over to his shelf, grabbing every book possible and dropping them on Jeongguk's bed, making the younger flinch."That's a lot of books." The latter hums and looks up at the cheerful roommate. In return he smiles, introducing all the books he has and explains his favourite genres and authors.
'Maybe, he isn't so bad...?' Jeongguk thought, his eyebrows furrowed.
After a while, the two boys got into bed, Jimin already fast asleep while Jeongguk stares up at the ceiling in wonder, a soft smile on his face.
'These few years are going to be interesting...' and then after that last thought, the young boy drifted off to sleep.
