Chapter 5: A Day with the Bae's (Part 2)

        The car ride to the lake was pretty uneventful. Nash and Cameron both made a vine of all of us singing and Taylor got slapped by Aaron for a vine. After about an hours drive we pulled up to the lake and let me tell you, It. Was. Absolutely. Stunning. The crystal blue water shimmered and glistened off the sun. The trees swayed in the gentle breeze almost as if they were waving to us. We all climbed out of the car and as soon as I stepped out, I took a deep breath of the fresh air. 

        "Ok. So Nash and I were thinking we could do capture the flag out here with the tops of those hills." He points to the hills around us. "And the road back here as boundaries. But first," Before he could finish the sentence Matt interupted and screamed, "Lemme take a selfie!" Cameron punched his arm hard, but playfully and laughed and said, "We could all go out and explore the woods to kind of ya know, check things out." Everyone shook their heads in agreement and I started to walk off towards a groove of trees.

        As I was walking I glanced behind me and all the other boys were heading off into different directions. I kept walking and started to make my way into the trees. Once I was about 20 feet up the hill someone jumped on me from behind and covered my mouth with their hand. I struggled against them but they were too strong, I kept fighting anyways and soon I heard a farmiliar laugh. The hand was removed from my mouth and I swung around quickly to face, of course, Jack.

        "Jack!!!" I yelled at him punching his arm, kind of hard I admit. He started laughing even harder now and replied back, "Ow! Damn you have a hard punch girl!" I then started laughing with him and after a couple minutes he said, "Sorry... I saw you going by yourself and didn't want you to have to be alone so I came and when you didn't seem to here me coming up behind you I kind of wanted to scare you." I laughed, "Oh ok. That's good because I have the worst sense of direction ever! So I probably would have gotten lost." He chuckled and said, "I got the teams. You, me, Taylor, Matt, and Cameron. The other team is Carter, Jack J, Nash, Hayes, and Aaron." We began walking again and I said, "Ok. Sounds good." After about 10 minutes of exploring and just talking, we got a text from Cameron saying, "Everyone head back to where the car is so we can start." Jack and I turned around and went back.

        Once the sides for each team were established, we set up the rules, and the timer started for five minutes for us all to go and hide our flag. Once our flag was hidden inside a bush but still showing, the five minutes were up. The way we were playing was where if you were tagged, you had to go back to your base for 30 seconds then you could go back out again. I ran around and tagged quite a few of the boys. Then, I decided to sneak over and try to steal Nash's teams flag. I snuck up behind and saw that they had Aaron guarding it. He was standing in front of the tree and the flag was behind it. I looked around and didn't see anyone else. I started to sneak up behind the tree when someone came running from the side and picked me up bridal style all without stopping running. 

        I looked up at who had me and it was Carter. I immitated his moms voice the best I could and said, "Cartah! What you doin?" He laughed and said, "Holding you captive for ransim." I looked up at him with a questioning look on my face. "I'm using you to get your flag." I laughed and said, "Isn't that cheating?" He kept going through the forest, slowing to a walk now, "Not really." After a few minutes we got to where our flag was and apparently, they had this planned. All the other boys from his team were there and they stormed the base. "GIVE US THE FLAG OR IT'S THE GIRL!" Nash screamed in a funny voice. Everyone on my team looked up with wide eyes and saw me in Carter's arms. Cameron stood up, "Oh Yeah! And what would you do with her!!" Nash looked at the ground then looked up, "Oh. You don't want to know." Then started laughing and winked at me so I knew he was kidding. "Reynolds put me down!" I made a pouting face. "Haha, nope! Not happenin till that flag is ours!" Carter simply replied. All the boys on my team looked at each other and all of a sudden they stormed us, each of the guys tagging one and Cameron ran by and snatched me from Carter's arms and bolted across the forest towards their base. When Cameron started to tire, I was grabbed by Taylor who kept running with me and when we got to the base he said, "Grab the flag!" I did as I was told and he turned and started running back. Halfway again, I was traded off to Matt who ran all the way back to our base, dodging the members of the other team on the way. I grabbed our flag and jumped from Matt's arms. My team came in and we did a group hug. "Nice one Kayden!" They all cheered. 

        After messing around at the lake for a while more, we drove home and I went staright to my hotel room to shower, eat, play on my phone for a while and fall into a deep sleep full of dreams. It had been a wild and fun day and I had my first day of Magcon tomorrow!
