"Tikki, spots off."

The sparkles fell down Marinette's body as she returned to her normal clothing in the school's locker room. She had just defeated an Akumatised Luka, and returned him home. Lord knows she was going to get an earful from whatever teacher she had right now.
Leaving the girls locker room, she saw Adrien leaving the boys locker room, about as suspiciously as she was. She followed him to class, knowing that they shared every period together.
The teacher was talking to the class a out daily announcements, and to explain that the Akuma threat had been eliminated. She also said that they would have a new student joining them tomorrow. Marinette's was excited at the idea of making a new friend. The whole class was buzzing with the news. Eventually, the teacher got the class settled and they began their work. Marinette couldn't wait to meet this new person. Hopefully they were nothing like Chloe.

If there was someone new joining their class, Adrien would make sure that they were safe and welcome. If he could prevent an Akuma, and make a new friend, that would be great. But for now, he was to keep his head down, get his work done and look forward to patrols tonight with Ladybug.
As the hours passed, Adrien grew more and more restless in anticipation to see his Princess. He was head over heels for Ladybug, the same way he noticed Ladybug got flustered around him as Adrien. He planned to reveal himself soon, he was just waiting for the right moment to do so. One day soon, for sure.

         "Evening, m'lady."

"Chat! Don't sneak up on me!" Ladybug exclaimed, surprised by Chat Noir's silent approach. They chatted for a while before heading off on their patrols. The both of them couldn't keep their minds off of this new kid. Who could it be?

Making it to class as the bell rang, Marinette sat down, waiting for the new student to walk in and be introduced. The entire class seemed on edge, waiting to see who this new person would be. She began sketching new designs in her diary when she heard the door open. In walked Luka, head bowed shyly and a bandage placed on his cheek. Obviously from her yoyo. Marinette blushed, feeling bad for hurting him.
In front of her, she noticed Adrien acting similar, looking almost guilty as Luka walked in the room with bruises and a few grazes. Marinette would have to investigate this later, but for now her attention was solely on Luka. He was introduced to the class, and told to pick a seat. Alya and Marinette attempted to signal him to their desk, however he chose to sit beside Adrien and Nino, which was close enough. The five began chatting and talking as friends, already knowing each other from the Paris music festival, where Luka's mother was Akumatised.

~L~
Luckily, Luka knew several people in this class already, thanks to his sister, Julika. Marinette and Alya sat in the second row, and Nino and Adrien sat in the front row. It was difficult to pick a seat, as Luka had previously grown a sort of crush on Marinette, after her bravery with his mother a couple of months prior. Luka had been debating giving up home schooling for public schooling – in order to see Marinette, her friends and his sister – for the past month.
The lesson was dull, but the conversation between Luka and his peers wasn't. He felt himself growing fonder of Marinette with ever passing moment, but he also felt a connection with Adrien. Luka was somewhat torn between who to chose, but decided not to get ahead of himself. He'd also picked up throughout the lesson that Marinette because sheepish and frantic when it came to talking with Adrien, and could barely manage to get a comprehensive sentence out without stuttering or messing up her words. As cute as Luka found this, he was saddened by the fact that it wasn't himself that was causing this behaviour. He would just have to observe from a distance – for now anyway.

Adrien cursed inside his mind. Luka was stealing all of Marinette's attention. He couldn't help himself but feel a little jealous. Marinette was a really good friend, and it hurt for her to seem so scared and intimidated by him. He planned to talk to her today, during lunch break or after school. But he mostly wanted to steal her away from Luka. Adrien was also growing uncomfortably aware of his growing liking of Luka, despite his theft of Marinette. He ignored it, and dismissed it as curiosity over a new friend, and suppressed his thoughts. Father had yelled at him previously over a statement he made as a child, and he'd be damned if he made that mistake again...
