*Flashback*
I woke up chained to a wall across from Dani, Katie, and Cheryl. The room smelled like mold and mothballs, telling me we were probably being held somewhere underground. The first person who walked in was the guy standing beside Michael when I showed up to the lake.
"He wants to speak to you."
I've never wanted to punch someone in the face more than I do right now. The guy, who I learned was Joel, had a smirk worn on his face the entire walk to Michael's office. I was shoved into the room with a force that was unreasonable.
"Watch it." I snarled at Joel, but he just smirked.
I guess everyone here still acts like assholes.
I turned around to examine the room. The walls were a moldy green color with a brown desk that was placed in the middle of the room. A worn grey couch was pushed against the wall beside a bookcase that screamed that it was just for show. I walked and sat in one of the stiff chairs that sat in front of the desk. I see where the money's not going.
"I see you've made it safely." he said.
"Oh, of course! There's nothing better than waking up chained to a wall in a moldy basement!" I replied.
He gave me a look that said he wasn't amused. Too bad I don't care.
"Well, let's get back to the agreement. For the next few weeks, you will be training with Milo. He will broaden your fighting skills. I don't think it will be long before you get the hang of it. You're already ahead by two lessons since you already know acupuncture and pressure points."
I guess he's been keeping tabs. Creep.
"You're dismissed. Joel, take her to Milo."
The training was hard, but not as bad as I thought it would be. The few weeks of training turned out to be a few days since I soaked everything up like a sponge.
Guess it's that spark.
I was able to beat Milo, but I didn't brag to Michael since he wouldn't be impressed or reward me anyways.
Or maybe it was the fact that I'd have to start his hit list.

We finally reached 'the house.' Or as I like to call it, Our Hell. As soon as Joel and I exit the car, I decided to ask Michael if Dani, Katie, and Cheryl can sleep in my room with me tonight. Ever since we came here, I've been placed higher than them since my missions went so well.
Not like the room a major upgrade, anyways. It composed of a queen mattress that has a couple springs about to pop laying on the creaky floor with thin blankets, along with a broken mirror that sits facing the wall instead of towards me. My closet composed of one pair of spandex shorts, one pair of leggings, a tank top, a short sleeved and one long sleeved shirt. All black.
The girls now sleep in the attic, clean the house, and make food every day. The basement was now being used as a prison for the people Michael wanted me to kidnap on my missions.
I have no one to talk to and tell them how much it hurts to see Michael everyday, to always be reminded of the mistakes I've made and who I've killed for him.
I'd do anything for family.
I reached his office and quietly knocked on the door. Just because I'm his best fighter doesn't mean he didn't discipline me either. He hurts but has never went as far as sexual abuse. He said he has Kara for his needs.
"What?" he said. I noticed that I had zoned out. Whoops.
"U-uhm, I have a question. If you're busy, I can just-"
"No. You've already interrupted." As he was talking I could see Kara slip on her pants behind Michael.
I gained the strength not to stutter after seeing that.
"Katie, Cheryl, and Dani are sleeping in my room tonight. They can't keep sleeping on that darn wooden floor with bundled sheets while I'm sleeping on a mattress. It's effecting their work effort." I stated. Whether he approved or not, I was going to have them sleep on my mattress while I slept on the floor.
"Why should I do that? They haven't been in need of rewarding."
"Please, Michael." I pleaded.
He huffed and rubbed his eyes, an obvious sign he was tired and frustrated. "Fine."
"Thank you." I said walking away, smirking as I got a good few feet away from his office.
Tonight, I'm going to break us out.
