Decanters of wines are passed everywhere, I breathe deeply the sweet smell of caramel and fresh baked bread.
Gigi basically set me up on a date with Shawn, well who knew that he had a crush on me from the very first beginning, he's sweet, nice and the most important of all ' he loves me just the way I am '.
A friendly server arrives and pours you each a tall glass, as if summoned at your wishes for a sip or whatever smells so incredible, she also set a basket of bread on the table, it's fresh baked and mouthwateringly tantalizing.
" you look beautiful " Shawn says and I grab a roll, my stomach is pleading for some nourishment.
" Shawn thank you, you look great as well " I say smiling and he just chuckle blushing and grabs a roll.
The delicious smell of the meat hit me across the face hard enough to send me reeling, I start eating the warm seasoned meat cut with a cooling yogurt sauce, the playful textures are dancing in my mouth, a soft moan escapes my mouth.
" this is so good " I have never eaten something so good like this.
" I know right? This is the best restaurant ever to exist " he smiles sweetly staring into my eyes for a good couple of minutes.
Shawn is sweet, nice and handsome, I like him but I'm not sure about my feelings yet I mean he's so annoyingly perfect and it bothers me that a guy like him doesn't have a girlfriend.
we finished our meal and went out to take a walk
He takes my tiny hand into his big ones..
" look Jasmine, I believe you and I know for sure that you would've never cheated on Charlie, and yeah well sometimes he acts like a complete jerk but.. " he pauses for a few seconds
My mouth formed a small gap.
" I.. I like you Jasmine, like alot and I need to know if you like me as well! " his pink plump lips forms a small smile.
" Shawn I do like you, you're so sweet and nice and you've always been a great friend to me but I'm not sure yet! I mean it's kinda complicated Charlie and I used to be mad in love.. But now after what happened I'm not sure about him.. About anything "
" hey hey, don't let what happened affects you! I totally understand if you don't want to be with me, I just want to see you happy that's all " he smiles
Without hesitating I lean closing the gap between us.
it's a subtle give and take gentle at first a warm pressure of his lips on mines, he takes a step closer and slides a hand around my waist while the other goes to my back..
he retreats just enough to allow me to pursue him, I press my body against his and seize a kiss.
I pull away before doing anything, I will regret in the future, he licks his lips staring into my eyes for a few seconds.
" sorry " i gulp " I shouldn't have done this " I bite my tongue to stop myself from crying, his smile fades away.
" God why is it so hard? " I turn my face so that he can't see my soaked up eyes.
" Jasmine?" he mumbles softly
" Shawn I.. I am so sorry, look I like you.. alot actually.. but " I choke back on my tears.
" no..no no, hey..calm down " he hugs me tightly
" I'm pregnant Shawn, from a womenizer man, a serial dater, a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy, maybe I should have known " he remains silent stroking my hair.
" I hate myself, I hate myself for still loving him "
" hey, look at me.. I will never let him hurt you okay? " I nod wiping my tears.
he drives me home, the whole ride was silent - awkward -.
" goodnight, Shawn" I smile softly
" goodnight Jasmine " he lefts my hand and kisses it, with a wide smile, I giggle and made my way back to the front door.

I arrive home to see Charlie standing in front of my front door.
" you were on a date with her right? " he says angerly, is he drunk, again??
" 'her' name is Jasmine, and yes " I say and he smiles mischievously
" Charlie are you drunk? " I say narrowing my eyes
" I'M NOT DRUNK I JUST NEED HER " he yelled throwing away the beer glass he was holding.
" she's not a prostitute Charlie! she loved you but you're so sick minded, stop being an ass and man up for her!! if you really in desperate need to get her back then start changing or you will lose her forever " I say, his eyes swell up.
" changing will take time " he says holding back his tears " but I love her too! I just can't believe it!! she cheated on me Shawn a- "
" She didn't cheat on you bozzy head!! wake up!! " I yell at him " she was right when she said that you're a womanizer man, a serial dater!! you'll never learn how to love a woman truly " I snap " you should stop being a jerk, stop drinking, going to clubs, sleeping everyday with a different girl, you will never know what's the meaning of love until you change your way of living, cause I love her more than you do- " I shouldn't have gone too far like that!!
" y-you love her? , was that date even a thing? I thought you were doing this just because Gigi asked you to do so!!! " he half-yelled..
" no Charlie I went on that date before I loved her! but she doesn't love me like I do.. sh-she loves you!!"
I move him out of my way opening my front door and stepping inside it closing the door behind me living him speechless.
