It was a few hours and one sketchy encounter later that Xavier and John finally arrived home.

"Where'd you go?" Xavier asked Sherlock, who was lying on the sofa, nicotine patches on his arms.

"To find the suitcase."

"Did you find it?" Sherlock shook his head and went back to staring at the ceiling. Xavier walked upstairs and sat down on the bed in the first room he saw.

It was a very bland room, but Xavier hadn't expected much else considering that Sherlock had been the only one living there.

The young boy set his messenger bag down on the ground and pulled out a notebook, opening it to the first empty page he found. He grabbed a pencil from his bag and began doodling.

He wasn't sure how long he'd been up there for but eventually John came up.

"Hey, Sherlock and I are going out to work on the case so you're gonna stay and Brandon's for the night. We're leaving in about fifteen minutes just so you know." Xavier nodded and closed his notebook, putting it back into his bag with the pencil he'd been using. Looking around he realised he didn't have anything else to pack since it was all at his old flat and decided to go downstairs to see what John and Sherlock were up to.

"Are you ready to go now?" John asked. Xavier nodded. "Ok then, let's head out." Xavier put on his shoes and the three started on their way.

"We're running late," John pointed out, looking at his watch. "Can you get there yourself?" he asked, knowing that it was only a fifteen minute walk. Xavier nodded. "Take my phone," John said, handing it to his son, "Text Sherlock once you get there, or if something goes wrong. I love you"

"I love you too, Dad," Xavier said, heading down the street toward Brandon's house.

It wasn't a long walk to Brandon's, but as the boy turned left he noticed a dark figure behind him. Realistically, it was probably nothing, there were a ton of people around, but it still seemed suspicious to Xavier so he began to walk faster. The figure continued to follow him and he grabbed John's phone, ready to call 999 if something were to happen.

Turning onto Brandon's street the figure was still following Xavier and it had gotten closer in the last few minutes. As the figure began running Xavier sprinted towards Brandon's. He made it onto their porch banging against the door until someone opened it. He tumbled in and slammed the door behind him.

"Xavier, are you okay?" Brandon's mum asked, looking at the boy. Xavier shook his head and pointed towards the window where a man was pacing back and forth in front of the house.

"The guy followed me here," he explained.

"Are you alright? Did anything happen?"

"I'm fine, he just chased me down the street. Not sure what he wants me for though."

"Well I'm going to call the police, why don't you go say hi to Brandon. He's just up in his room." Xavier nodded and headed up the stairs to his friend's room, his heart still racing. Before entering the room he pulled out John's phone and found Sherlock in his contacts.

He texted, deciding not to worry John by mentioning the man who had been following him. Xavier opened the door to the bedroom and smiled at Brandon, who put the video game he was playing down.
