Chapter 13

~a week later~

Chaerin's POV

It's now been a week since I confessed to Jaehyun. If I get well soon, I will probably end up loving Jaehyun. Cause he has been there for me since all these drama happened.

While Taeyong, he... he's just happy. I really don't wanna ruin that so I didn't told him yet.

I'm currently with my parents eating lunch. This rarely happens nowadays, so I'm very glad that this got happened again.

"Oh by the way Chae, why don't you just take the petals out of your lungs?" My dad suggested

I looked at him with a mixture of confusion and angerness. Why does my dad want them to get out?

"Huh? I don't want to" I denied

"But why? You could just get them off so you wouldn't have to suffer from pain. Oh and besides, we don't want you to end up with someone from the Lee Family." My dad replied back with a strict tone

"But... I love him, and no one's gonna convince me to take this petals out of my lungs." I said defending myself

My dad gave me a bitter laugh

"Ha. You are honestly stupid. Why would you end up falling for someone who is a coward and disgrace?" My dad replied

When he said those hurtful words. I lost it

"What do you mean his a coward and disgrace? You just don't know him dad! You can't just judge people that you don't even know personally. It doesn't mean you and his family's company are rivals, your gonna describe him with those hurtful characteristics. He is very nice and not a careless person like you!" I stated

My dad stood up and was going to slap me across my face but my mom stopped him from doing so. I stood up from my seat and left them with no words said.

I got to my room and looked at my plain white wall. I looked at it for minutes while thinking about why my family, specifically my dad hates Taeyong and his family.

My thoughts got interrupted by the sound of my phone going off. I checked it and saw that Jaehyun texted me.

Jaehyun💓: Hey Chae! Just wondering if you're free today?
Me: of course I am! And besides we don't have classes today:3
Jaehyun💓: yay! Get ready cause I'm taking you to the park
Me: okieee

I put my phone on the table next to me and fixed my hair. Since I'm already ready with my outfit, I decided to fix my hair cause it was kinda plain.

I normally put my hair in a high ponytail but now I decided to put it in two dutch braids. I braided my hair until I was finish.

Just when I was done braiding my hair, I heard the doorbell ring. I quickly put on my shoes and grabbed my phone.

I didn't even bother to say goodbye to my parents since I'm pretty sure they went to work already.

"Oh hey Chae- oh wow" Jaehyun said with his jaw dropped

"What? Do I really look that bad?" I said

"No no no... you just look very different" Jaehyun said while smiling

"Oh... is it because that I put on a different hairstyle?" I asked while chuckling

"Yeah... c'mon let's go" He said then pulling me with my wrist

I blushed and just got on with it. I got on the passenger's seat beside him. He went inside to the driver's seat and locked the car door.

"So... how are you?" Jaehyun asked

"Hmm... still kind of sucky" I replied while looking at his side

"What happened?" He asked while parking the car

"It's about my parents..." I said and looked down

"Tell me more once we get out of the car" He said while looking at me

Since he already parked, we got out of the car. He rested his arm around my shoulder and headed to ice cream parlor.

There was not much people inside the ice cream parlor, so we were the first one in line.

We got greeted by the lady and we immediately got mistaken as a young couple.

"What a lovely day for you two lovebirds!" The lady greeted

We looked at each other with a light shade of red appearing through our cheeks.

"Oh... we aren't a couple miss" Jaehyun shyly replied

"Really? I'm very sorry for that mistake. Y'all are very close that's why" The lady grinned

"Anyways... what can I get for you too?" The lady asked

"Can we get a one salted caramel cone and a one vanila cone?" I asked

"Sure" The lady said

I looked over at Jaehyun and see him look the other way

"Here you go!" The lady said while serving us our ice cream

"Thank you!" I said while grabbing my salted caramel flavoured ice cream

When I was about to take my money, I saw that Jaehyun handed his money and was about to leave with me.

"Thank you, hope you both come again!" The lady said while waving at us

We waved back and existed the shop. We sat on a nearby bench and ate our ice cream cones while watching all the children play.

"Now, tell me what happened between you and your parents" Jaehyun said

"We were eating lunch and my dad out of the sudden suggested that I should take off the flowers in my lungs but I denied his offer cause I love Taeyong and I won't stop loving him, even if he doesn't love me back" I explained while licking my ice cream

"If I were on the same situation as you are right now, I would do the same. Because why would I want to take off the flowers out of my lungs and expect to move on that fast." Jaehyun said agreeing on what I said

I went into detail about what happened earlier and I'm really glad that I get to rant about what's going on in my life to Jaehyun, cause he listens.

"Ahhh... Thanks Jae for listening to my rant about my stupid life" I said with a grin creeping on my face

"You shouldn't be thanking me all the time Chae. I'm your friend and it's my job to listen to your rants and give my opinions about them" Jaehyun said

"All of my friends don't really give a damn about me ranting and just think it's boring. I'm just very happy to have a great friend like you Jae." I said while giving him a tight hug

I could tell that Jaehyun was very surprised about the sudden action I did but he didn't care much and hugged me back.

"Let's go home now Chae" Jaehyun said while smiling

I nodded and walked away from the park. We were holding hands and just didn't give a heck about all the people looking at us.

We went inside the car and drove away. We were just smiling like idiots along the way. We reached our house and he stopped the car infront of my front door.

"Thanks for today Jae!" I said with a smile

"No problem! Bye Chae!" Jaehyun waved and started the car

"Bye!" I replied back while waving

I got my keys and opened the door. I opened to see my at the living room waiting for me. I took of my shoes and went directly to the living room.

"Hey mom" I greeted

"Hey Chae... I have something serious to talk about with you"
