Chapter 1🤓

Flashback

I am awkwardly sitting here in front of a high class man wearing a tuxedo and observing every detail of his manly face which he is probably in his mid-forties. I stood there quietly and awkward in front of him while he's busy arranging his papers.

And pardon i forgot to introduce myself. Hi! I'm Aubrey Lupo you can call me "brey" i am a normal girl who's ambition is to be a one of the best lawyers in America. But unfortunately, everything changed when my mom and dad died because of an unexpected car accident in New York. That is why i have to work my ass hard to make myself a living which made me appear in a situation like this.

"Hello Ms. Lupo". The tall man said with confidence and added a bitter smile.

"Hello sir...."

"We all know the reason why you are here". -The man "I am Derick but you can call me Sir Ricky i'm the assistant of your boss Hilda which is the owner of the club". Derick continued.

I just replied with a nod and let out a small smile for it to be less awkward. I made myself comfortable on the sit when I saw Derick opening his black suitcase and taking out a piece of paper containing the contract that I need to sign. He gently placed the paper on the table and gave me a black inked pen.

When he handed it out to me I began to read the agreements and rules on the paper, my forehead suddenly wrinkled by the time I saw the rules:

I_______(Your Name) Agree to be a hostess in the Jade Night Club and do my responsibilities and tasks and never break the following rules that is written below. And I promise to never abide my boss's word.

Rules and regulations for being a starlight member of the Jade Club:

#Rule 1: The chosen member should never show her true self outside the club.

#Rule 2: The chosen member should never have romantic relationships with customers or other companions outside or inside the club.

#Rule 3: The chosen member should never have sexual Relationships.

#Rule 4: The chosen member should never smoke or do drugs.

#Rule 5: If the chosen member has received love letters or confessions you should never show your true emotions and hide your true self so they won't recognize you.

#Rule 6: Drinking with the customers is prohibited.

#Rule 7: Don't FALL IN LOVE.

I let out a bitter crook smile when I saw the last rule. Of course, I will never fall in love again because it is mainly the reason why i ended up in the situation like this. I quickly signed the paper and gently passed it to Derrick which is now staring furiously at his phone.

"Seems that our business is done miss Lupo". Then he started to raise his hand to make a handshake with me so I stood up and gave him my hand and he started patting my shoulders while, still doing the handshake.

I turned around and packed my things inside my little Pouch and headed outside when mister Derick quickly dashed out of the room without me noticing. I quickly cleaned the lens of my glasses then started to wipe it with the edge of my plain white shirt. And there I headed home.

When i was almost home inside the bus the three words still kept bugging my head the whole time.
