Let's start with me saying a few thing.

-This is a short story. It will be between 10-15 chapters and the word count wont be huge.

-I've uploaded all the chapters at once for no particular reason but enjoy binge reading it.

-As far as i'm aware, everything in this book is just fiction. I respect Colin's marriage and Jen's personal life; this is simply just for entertainment purposes :)

...

It was a Tuesday evening and Jen sighed heavily as she fumbled for her keys in the bottom of her bag. Today has been a long day for the rising actress. She'd had a straight 17 hour filming day and it wasn't as if they were easy scenes. Hours and hours of tears as she tried to make the Season 1 Finale of her new show Once Upon A Time as perfect as possible. She was inarrugabley a perfectionist, but she also got stressed unbelievably quickly.

She was living her dream. She knew she had almost everything she ever wanted but there was something that wasn't allowing her to reach her full potential of happiness. She had great co-workers, an amazing job, a steady income and a nice house. Even her little dog Ava was loving this new Vancouver life.

Once she found her keys, she unlocked her door so her semi-new home and was immediately bombarded with millions of little licks and head nudges. "Hello baby girl" Jen laughed as she crouched down and snuggled with her ball of happiness and fluff.

Immediately she walked straight to her bedroom and threw her things down onto the bed before walking into her bathroom. She switched the steamy water on and stripped down to nothing before stepping into the shower.

The hot water trickled down her back and she sighed at the relaxing sensation. All her muscles tension fell down the plughole as she lathered the soap all over her skin. She began to let her mind wander as she washed all the curls and hairspray out of her locks before spreading on a hair mask. Showers always seemed a therapeutic thing for Jen. She was able to unwind and relax, but recently her mind often lead her to places she didn't want to go; often very dark and unnecessary places.

Suddenly she was hit with an all-too-familiar- wave of sadness.

She was lonely.

Here in Vancouver, ever since she moved, she felt extremely lonely. She had Ginny and Josh but between the 3 of them, she felt like the 3rd wheel and she didn't want to seem desperate but in reality, she was. None of her family were up in Canada and never really paid her a visit but that didn't bother her. She did not have anyone. Not a single soul. She only had Ava, and that was the only source of happiness at the moment.

Before she knew it, she was crying again. It wasn't so much of a cry, more of a holding-back cry which made her throat tie up and a gasp fall from her lips. She felt like a mess, a lonely one at that. She just wanted to find a reason to smile every day, just one simple little thing and she knew she would feel better.

She reached to her phone to pause her music before glancing at the time. 11:11. Jen was never really superstitious, but she had lost all hope now. Will I ever be happy? The pain in her heart was almost unbearable as she gripped her hands together and silently prayed for just one thing: happiness.

She sighed as she fell against the slate of her shower wall. Her knees fell weak as she slowly slid her body down. Resting her face into her knees, she began to sob loudly. She knew she was over reacting but in her mind this was the end of the world.

As the tears continued to stream down her cheeks, there was a sudden ring of the doorbell. She jumped slightly at the ring but she instantly hopped out of the shower and hastily wrapped a towel round her hair and finally around her body. She contemplated getting dressed but Jen was confident with her body; it didn't phase her too much- or so she thought.

She walked through her apartment, water dripping off her legs as she walked to her front door, her towel been hugged tightly to her chest. Who on earth calls at this time?

She opened it slightly and was instantly greeted by an icy stare...
