BlackTip stared at her mother's corpse. The way her lifeless eyes looked at her, was a look no animal could ever forget. She felt no compassion, however. Her mother did nothing for her. She had hunted on her own, she had defended their home on her own, she had done everything on her own. All her mother did was sit in the den, waiting for death to reach her. Starvation had soon killed the broken fox. While she felt no compassion, she did feel.... pity. Some nights, while she was sleeping in the den with her mother, she would violently twitch and bark in her sleep. While she did deserve to die, it was not a quick nor peaceful death. BlackTip believed that no one deserved such a slow and helpless end. A small scuffling jerked her from her thoughts. Prey! She instinctively dropped into a hunting position, her mouth watering at its rich scent. After looking around for a second, she spotted a small rabbit about 10 paw lengths away. Slowly but surely, she walked quiet as a mouse to the rabbit. After a moment or two, she twitched and then lunged for the poor animal. She held its body down with one paw, and bit its neck. The animal squirmed around for a few seconds before succumbing to death. BlackTip hungrily wolfed down the rabbit, it's fresh meat being delicious. After there was nothing left of the rabbit but bones, she thought about what to do next. The city was an option, however the forest wasn't. Too many dangerous things that could eat her in one singular gulp. Every single unfortunate animal that caught the sickness had their forms altered into... monsters. They could not listen to reasoning, and they were very vicious and unintelligent. Too risky. She could stay where she was now, the dessert. But water and shelter were hard to find, and prey wasn't that easy to gather, either. But she had no idea witch direction the city was in. Eventually, BlackTip just decided on going the direction of the moon, witch was east.
After a while, long shadows began to come into view. Buildings maybe? BlackTip would have to take the chance.
After all, what could be there waiting for her?
As she was following the shadows, she began to hear a series of growls and barks. The more she went in this direction, the louder the noises became. BlackTip was as quiet as possible, hiding behind the dry bushes of the desert ever now and then. After a few minutes, she discovered the source of the sounds. Dogs. A dog pack was somewhere nearby. Scared, BlackTip rolled in some dry leaves to try and disguise her scent. She crept closer, the suspense building up in her everlasting. Soon, she began to see buildings. Behind the second smallest building was where the dogs were. There had to be at least 15 of them, most of them being Lock-Jaws (Pit bulls). The leader of all of them was the easiest to spot, since it was the biggest out of all of them. That was the real brute. Being too concentrated on seeing what was going on, BlackTip stepped on a sharp rock and yelped in pain. Suddenly, one of the dogs began barking viciously in her direction. The rest of the pack turned their heads to her. Terrified, she ran for her life. The twists and turns of the alleyway got her lost, she had no idea where she was going. The fox may be faster, but the dogs knew where they were. She reached the end of an alley way, and was cornered. BlackTip began snarling, trying to make herself look as threatening as possible. The big group of dogs began to make an empty path for their leader. As he was coming up, she could see how big he or she really was. "Don't kill her yet boys, I just might have some use for her." "I won't do anything for you!" I growled. The big dog leaned in about a claw length from her face. "Do you really think you have a choice?" He chuckled, sensing her fear. "Agree to help us and you might just get out of here alive."
Did I really have a choice?
"Alright."

Sorry,this is quite short.
