It had been a tiring, rough day for the members, especially Seokjin and Yoongi. They had an extended dance practice, a few interviews, and a dress rehearsal all in under fourteen hours. The eldest was beyond exhausted trying to keep everyone focused through encouragement (and some scolding), and he could tell from the way Yoongi was having trouble holding himself up for nearly the entire day, that he was going to slip into little space at anytime. As soon as Yoongi got into the house, Seokjin didn't question him about his spaced out behavior nor baby him, letting Yoongi go straight to his bed as he went off towards his own. However, he wished he had taken care of Yoongi before going his own way, because he didn't expect the younger to slip into his headspace like this.
Seokjin had fallen asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow, not knowing he would to be woken up so early. Struggling to open his eyes, he felt as if he had only slept for two hours, and that estimation wasn't far off when he glanced at the clock and saw it was only 6:10 in the morning. He frowned, wondering why his body didn't let him sleep until 7:15, when he normally woke up. The eldest was pulled from his thoughts when he heard a few whimpers coming from the other side of the room, beyond the huge dividing shelf.
Yoongi had woken up too early for his liking, his mind clouded with a sleepy yet familiar haziness and his eyes barely able to remain open. However, what made him wake up so abruptly was the cold, damp feeling between his legs and around his thighs. He didn't think much of it at first, but when he reached down to pull his beloved white blanket to his chest and discovered that half of it was completely soaked, he realized he had an accident.
The boy was exhausted, and even he knew his headspace would be unavoidable after the previous day's events. But he didn't know that Seokjin was unaware of that at the present moment. More tears began to fall from his eyes at the fact that he was sitting on soiled sheets, boxers sticking to his skin and his favorite comfort item ruined. He couldn't quietly sob anymore, it was impossible.
He began to cry audibly, rubbing at his eyes vigorously with one fist and clutching the clean part of the blanket in his other.
Seokjin was now in full caregiver mode and rounded the dividing shelf to be met with the silhouette of Yoongi sitting up in the middle of his bed. It was still dark in the room, too dark for Seokjin to see exactly what happened. But he understood right away from the smell that was beginning to make itself known as he approached Yoongi's bed.
Seokjin switched on Yoongi's nightlight that he used whenever he fell asleep in little space and saw Yoongi's sleepy face that was blotchy from tears. Even in his distressed state, he still looked as adorable as ever. As soon as Yoongi's eyes locked with Seokjin's own, the caregiver's tiredness was replaced with a feeling of warmth and fondness. He loved the fact that Yoongi trusted him with so much.
"Oh baby boy," the elder sighed, rubbing the boy's cheek to comfort him.
"Can you tell daddy what happened?"
Yoongi sniffled before proceeding to talk. "I...h-had accident...daddy..." Yoongi said shamefully, burying his face in his hands and holding up the small blanket. "A-an-nd blanket g-got m-messed up."
He began to hiccup from all his crying and Seokjin leaned over, pulling Yoongi's upper body closer, letting him rest against his stomach."It's okay Gi," Seokjin consoled him as he ran his hands through Yoongi's unruly bed hair.
"You had a tiring day yesterday. Let daddy take care of you now."
Yoongi breathed a sigh of relief mixed with uneasiness and let out another choked sob into Seokjin's shirt.
"Hey hey, don't cry little one," Seokjin soothed, pressing a gentle kiss to Yoongi's forehead and hoping he wouldn't wake up the other members with his sobs.
