Anyway In this au , everybody has a soulmate. At a certain age they get a string to represent it, they are called soulmate strings, if your string tugs it means your soulmate is hurt mentally or physically. When you get married the string turns purple. If your soulmate dies, the string disappeares (is that how it's spelled) The string is originally pink.
