You give me your kaleidoscope in monochrome
So unlike the way you color me at home
Some days it's so vivid
But mostly I would rather be blind. — Frustrated, R.LUM.R•••
For Seulgi, Mino was the most persistent guy she had ever encountered in her life. It had been five consecutive days they spent the night together—of course they did nothing, it was either doing their project or Mino was being a pain in the arse.
Seulgi was pretty much aware that doing their project was only his excuse to get him closer. But one thing she wasn't sure of, why was Mino doing all of this to her? What was his scheme?
If it was just a pure on friendly purpose, Seulgi thought that he was overdone it.
Seulgi was—almost used to have his existence by now. She knew that Mino would buy her a honey-butter chicken if he was coming straight from the uni to her flat and would buy her tteokbokki if he was coming straight from his flat in which Seulgi later found out it was only located just a few block from hers.
He already knew that she liked it spicy, and she knew that he would buy a mild one since he disliked spicy foods.
It had been their usual routine every night and it made her anticipate more in a very unusual way.
She liked having him in her place.
Mino was usually coming around seven and he would head back to his place around eleven o'clock. It was half past eight but the sign of his arrival remained unknown.
"He won't come." Seulgi mumbled by herself, there was a slight of disappointment within her tones.
Then she let her sight wondered to every corner of her room—it was all empty and somewhat, looked cold.
She realized how lonely her life had become.
Seulgi shifted her gaze to her phone which she easily found it on the kitchen counter, hesitating herself whether it was necessary to call Mino or not and she hated this kind of feeling nonetheless, the urge of calling him was somehow too tempting.
What on earth that man had done to make her feel this sufferable disgraceful feeling?
Her phone was ringing as if it was the most expected thing—Seulgi dashed away to pick up her phone.
Her heart fell down the moment she read the name of the caller; Kim Jongin.
She cleared her throat before she picked it up. She was back at her game again.
"Hi, darling." She greeted the man as sweetly as she may sounded.
"I thought you wouldn't pick it up again, Hon."
"Yeah, been busy these couple days."
"Such a hardworking baby. You free tonight?"
Seulgi let out a small sigh, "I am."
"Great, should I pick you up?"
"No, just tell me where you at."
"Alright baby girl, you know our usual place."
Our usual place meant by Jongin was the usual place where he used to hold a party. That was also the place of their first meeting.
Seulgi ended the phone as she walked to her closet room, picking up the best dress she would like to wear.
She picked a strapless mini black dress which revealed her bare shoulder, she put a silver pearl necklace on her neck and combed her hair in pony tails just to make her long neck and bare shoulder more revealed than ever.
