Chapter 2: The Attack
It’s been 12 Years since I’ve been to the OverWorld, and 12 years since I’ve seen Fred. I don’t even know if he remembers me anymore. He might not even be alive. I don’t know, but I need to go back. The Aether isn’t safe anymore, not after the attack. Almost all the islands are destroyed, and the surviving ones are nothing but ruins. Luckily, my portal survived and I’m going back. Let’s do this! The second I stepped through, something exploded, and the world went dark around me.
When I woke up, I was in a white room lined with iron blocks. I couldn’t move much, but I was able to move my head and saw a boy about my age, talking agitatedly to someone who looked about 16 or 17. The other boy walked out, and he walked over to a table with a bowl on it. He added something to it, and walked over to me.
“Glad to see your awake,” He said, the bowl still in his strong hands.
“Who are you?” I asked, looking at the bowl, then his eyes, and back again.
“My name is EverStorm. What’s yours?”
“My name is CakeLead,” I said. He handed me a bowl that looked like mushroom stew, but more red than pink.
“What is this?” I asked.
“It’s mushroom stew with sugar and multiple healing potions.” He said, waiting for me to take my first sip.
“What types of-BLEEGHHH!” I started vomiting all over the floor. When I stopped vomiting, he handed me the bowl and I drank heartily from it.
“That’s not good,” EverStorm said, looking deep in thought.
“Why?” I asked, concerned.
“Because that means you’ve grown too used to the Aether air and the air of the OverWorld is toxic to you,” he said gravely.
“That’s not…. Wait a minute.. HOW DID YOU KNOW I LIVED IN THE AETHER?!?!”
“You talk in your sleep.”
“Crud,” I said. I had never known I had done that. Eh. You live and you learn. “Hey EverStorm?” “Yeah?” “What is that white stuff the place is made out of?” “It’s called Quartz,” he told me. “I should probably go clean that vomit up.” “That’s okay, I’ve got it.” I said. I waved my hand and the vomit disappeared. “How did you do that?” he asked in awe, with eyes wide as an Aether pig’s wings are long.
“Weird power,” I said in response. An idea was forming in my head, but I had only been able to do it once, and that was with my best friend.
--------------*Flashback*-------------
Lykos and I were playing on our Moas practicing combat skills and battle tactics. It was time for the 1v1 dueling tactic. BEGIN! I shouted in our minds. I had discovered 5 years earlier that if I knew someone really well, and vice versa, I could use mental telepathy. We charged on our Moas, swinging swords at each other. Suddenly, his expression changed. Others might not notice it, but I had lived with Lykos since I was seven. Then, his eyes changed. Instead of the normal Aerogel light blue, his eyes turned red as… What’s the word? Lava. His eyes were red as lava. He jumped off his Moa, killed it, and then came towards me. He had his Blood-Dungeon sword (lol I don’t play in Beta so im makin things up XD) in hand, ready to kill me. He charged at me, and without thinking, I pulled out my dart launcher, and shot him with a dart. I ran over to him concerned, I pulled the dart out, realizing in shock that it was a poison dart, instead of the tranquilizer dart I had meant to grab. I sobbed over his nearly dead body, and with his final few breaths, I made him look me in the eye, took my contacts out and said “Alexis Deathstroke.”
--------------*End Of Flashback*--------------
I thought of telling him what I was, and what my name is.
