I head into the kitchen, flicking the light on and instinctively heading to the kettle to make tea. It was tradition to have tea and and talk for an hour or so before bed. piling random mugs in my hands, I went to the pantry and grabbed a fistful of teabags and took them all back to the counter by the kettle. Meanwhile, my heart was beating uncomfortably loud in my chest, I did not want to tell them. The garage opens then and I hear  the front door opening and V's laughter erupt. Oh lord. "Don't be st-uupid, cows don't fly." Jimin hoarse voice whispers but he sounds confused. They were drunk. I hear shoes being effortlessly slipped off, their thuds echoing in the dark house. "Ivy?" Jin's voice was clear and steady. "We're home." I smiled. something in my eldest brother's voice reassured me, at least momentarily. "In the kitchen." I reply cheerily.  I gently put a piece of hair behind my ear, 'here goes nothing,' I think as my heart sinks.

Jin enters the kitchen, his thin hair standing up a little, his warm, brown eyes had dark shadows underneath. He was looking at his phone but smiled a huge, toothy smile when he saw me. "Hey!" his voice, I notice is a bit hoarse like Jimin's. I come over to him and give him a hug. When I lean into him, he smells of moonlight and cologne. It smells familiar and safe. "How was the party?" I ask as I look up at his face. Jin scoffs and looks towards the rest of the boys, "It was fun until these losers got themselves wasted." Jin points back to Jimin, V, Jungkook, and Namjoon who were in the process of putting plastic cups to their faces and moaning, but when Jin pointed to them, they all let out a loud high-pitched laughter, making them sound like a bunch of hyenas.  Jin stormed in front of them, grabbing the cups from their hands and pointing upstairs, "go to sleep. NOW!" there was a few more giggles but they messily climb up the stairs into their rooms. There was several random sounds such as laughing and door closing and footsteps but eventually all sounds eventually die down. Silence. I laugh, Jin could be such a mom when he wanted to be. My laugh directs him to look back at me and he laughs too but he rolls his eyes, "you can only imagine how it was driving them."
