two weeks later, jessica simmons, just arriving in vancouver, walked up the steps to her boyfriend, kj apa's apartment.
she over looked the high building and hesitated before buzzing in. however, not overthinking it, she buzzed the doorbell and a soft old man's voice spoke.
"who are you here to see?" the old man, presumably the doorman asked in a quiet voice through the speaker.
"kj apa, apartment number 24." jessica responded, eager to get up to see her boyfriend.
the man buzzed her in, and she quickly took in the looks of the building. it was gorgeous; and looked like something straight out of a fairytale. the lobby had high ceilings, with intricate design, and was very clean and modern. the glass chandelier in the middle of the room gave the lobby a glow, and made it seem bigger. it was eerily quiet however, due to the lateness at night and no one being in the lobby. jessica didn't waste time looking around; she hurried to the elevator with her many bags.
when she got up to kj's floor, she mentally prepared herself on what she was going to do, and walked out of the elevator down the hall. following the many doors as her guide , she made it to apartment number twenty-four and rang the bell.
"who is it?" kj's kiwi accent spoke through the door, and it was music to jessica's ears since she hadn't heard it for so long. she had always loved his accent, for it was a nice alternative to hearing an american one.
taking a deep breath, she spoke in response. "it's jessica." she said, and for a moment se wanted to lunch herself in the stomach. 'it's jessica?,' she thought. 'why couldn't i come up with anything better?' she mentally wanted to restart the whole moment again.
the door opened , and jessica actually dropped her bag. she was awestruck in seeing kj in person for the first time in months, and didn't realize how much she missed him until now. jessica noticed that his figure was getting physically bigger; his shoulders were broader and his body noticeably defined. he was definitely working out , she concluded. his hair was also darker now, not as light ginger as it had been before. it was most likely since they had almost wrapped up shooing for season two or riverdale, that he could let his hair get darker now.
kj's mouth turned into a smile once he saw his beautiful girlfriend, and immediately engulfed her into a hug. she basked in his scent, a mixture of spices and pine, which smelled like heaven to jessica at that point. kj, on the other hand, thought her perfume smelled divine.
they stayed hugging for what seemed like an eternity, enjoying holding eachother. it was kj however who broke the hug, going in for a kiss.
as their lips intertwined with the others , it felt like heaven on earth. it was pleasurable; especially since they didn't have a chance to do this for months and missed eachothers touch.
after a slow, and sensual kiss, kj spoke.
"welcome home love."
