"Ready for bed?"

"Noo you have to continue the story. Pleaseeee."

Robin chuckled. "Okay pumpkin."

"Yay!!"

"Our story continues three years later..."
///////
"I'm scared Alex." Zoey told her friend. "What if he doesn't remember me? Or if he hates me? Maybe we should come back tomorrow. It's 8pm.."

"You'll be fine. He's not going to hate you. Now go knock on the door. I'll be there" She pointed to Zoey's old house which is actually her new one.

"Okay... you're right" Zoey took a deep breath and walked up to the door. She knocked once. Nothing. She knocked again, still no answer. She knocked a third time and a women in her 20s came out.
She narrowed her eyes at Zoey. "Who are you?"

"Um... My name is Zoey Pecora. I'm looking for Robin Wright. If he still lives here."

She scoffed at Zoey. "Come in." Zoey walked in and took a seat on the couch. Bustet ran up to her and started barking excitedly.

"Hi Bust." Zoey petted him with a smile. She missed this dog. "Where is Robin?" As she said that the door opened and Robin came in. To say the least, Zoey was shocked. Robin... Robin didn't look like Robin. He was dressed in all black and had a few tattoos. He had piercings and what felt like a permanent glare glued onto his face.
"Hey Stacy"

"Hey baby" Stacy said kissing Robin. Robin looked over at the couch. "Buster. Come." Buster jumped off Zoey and ran over to Robin.

"Stac, can you please go wait in the bedroom with him?" Robin asked. She nodded and took Buster to their shared room.

"What do you want." He asked her. Zoey's heart broke from the look of hatred he gave her.

"I moved back into California and wanted to come say hi..."

"Yeah? Well it's a little to late for that."  Robin spit.

"Robs please...."

"Don't you dare call me that!" Robin yelled. His face started to turn red.

"Robin please let me explain..."

"Explain why you left me? Why you didn't tell me you were moving? Why you didn't even answer any of my texts or calls? Explain why you told me you loved me than didn't even try to stay in contact with me? Can you fucking explain that? You have no idea what I had to go through!" Robin had angry tears falling down his face.

"I did love you! I still do! That's why I'm here! That's why I'm back! I'll always be here!"

"You weren't fucking there when I needed you! I had no one for a part of my life!"

"That's a lie you had your parents!"

"My parents fucking died on my 18th birthday!" Robin screams finally snapping. He turns around and punches the wall. He leans his head against it.

Zoey stayed quiet. She had a look of complete shock.

"And I almost died a month later. I attempted suicide and failed. Stacy saved me and was there for me. Unlike you."

"Robin... look at me. Please." Robin shut his eyes tightly and sighed. He opened his eyes and turned around.

"I'm sorry. Terribly sorry I wish I could go back and fix everything." Zoey said grabbing his hand. Robin pulled his hand back.

"Sorry doesn't cut it. There is no way anybody could have prevented my parents death. But if you hadn't stopped talking to me, you could have prevented my almost death. And maybe I wouldn't hate you right now." Robin said with venom laced in his voice. He stormed out of the house and got into his truck.
Zoey felt her heart break. She still loved him, she never stopped loving him. She never got into a relationship because of him. And now, she might've lost him forever. Zoey took a deep breath. "I have to fix this."
Zoey left and ran to her house. She stormed in causing Alex to jump up half a mile. "Jeez give a girl a warning!"
"Shut up! Plan's in the making!" She yelled and ran upstairs to her old bedroom. She grabbed a notebook and a pen out of her suitcase.
Robin
First... what is it with notes? Does it just make it easier to say everything you need to say? I'm procrastinating. What I want to say is...
Zoey groaned and crinckled up the note. She wanted to tell him in person. But how could she. The rest of her night was spent writing something then throwing the note away. It wasn't good enough. Eventually, she drifted to sleep.

Robin was thinking. He left to go to the meadow they found. It's his spot. He sat there and just thought. He did miss Zoey. He doesn't hate her. He still loves her. Maybe he should have listened better? Or heard her explain? Was he being to harsh? Did he let his feelings get ahead of him again? He didn't know. He glanced at his phone to check the time. 12AM.
He sighed. "Maybe I should go see her? To hear her explain?" Robin nodded to himself and got in his truck heading over to Zoey's. He climbed through the window and saw Zoey sleeping on a chair. He took a deep breath and walked over to her. He covered her mouth with his hand and shook her awake. Zoey bit his hand and jumped up.
"Robin?"
"The one and only." He whispered.
"What are you doing here?"
"I guess I just wanted to hear you explain."

Robin stared down at his feet. "Maybe this was a bad idea. I'm going to leave.."

"No! I'll explain everything." Robin took a seat on the bed and waited. "It was the third day of us living in Chicago. My first day of school. I was being driven to school by my parents when we got into an accident. I ended up passing out. When I woke up I was in the hospital and had no memory. It was terrifying. I didn't know the people around me, I didn't know who I was. All that was jumbled up in my mind was names. 'Linda' 'Bob' 'Sam' 'Robin'. I had no idea who they were. It took me two years to get my full memory back." Zoey explained. "And as for the last year... I didn't know how to talk to you. I was convinced that you hated me. That you never wanted to talk to me again because I hadn't talked to you for two full years.  I mean I guess I was right about the you hating me thing." Zoey stated softly.

"I don't hate you Zo... I could never hate you."

"You don't have to lie Robin." Robin jumped off the bed and walked up to Zoey.
He placed his hands on her face and kissed her. She melted into the kiss. Everything about it felt so right.
Robin pulled away. "Do you think I still hate you?" He whispered.

"I don't know. I think I need more proof." She replied and pulled him back to her. She could feel his smile against her lips. But what she didn't know was that it was the first time in years that he was smiling a real smile.

"That's enough for tonight."

"But I want more..." Lucy whined.

"It's late pumpkin. Go to sleep okay? I'll tell you more tomorrow."

"Okay papa. I love you."

"Love you too sweetie."

Robin shut the light off and walked over to the room. He smiled. This is the part where things are just getting started.
