I'm going to explain to you exactly the type of perosn Opal was. She was easygoing yet a mystery she was kind,sweet, innocent,playful,bright,joyful....but who knew under all of that was a kid who suffered so much and was so mentally unstable.
You see Opal was so cheerful as a kid that nobody would've predicted she suffered from abuse. Her parents past away at a young age so she lived with her uncle and aunt, after her aunt died her uncle started drinking and smoking and soon became addicted. He would come home drunk and unstable, he would beat Opal not knowing what he was doing. Opal never had the courage to speak up but one day she did and put that bastard in jail. She soon had become depressed living with her grandmother even though she hid it very well, no one would've imagine she would cut herself to relive the pain she felt. You see Opal suffered from severe trauma due to her past, wich resulted to her anxiety that no one seemed to know about except her own person who she didint want to tell anyone. She would overdose on pills and get high and drunk and pretend she did it to have fun but she did it to hide her demons, her pain, her trauma. She was so mentally unstable but none of us noticed and I blame myself everyday for not being there for her but I can't change the past. Now you know Opals past.
