Chapter 6 || Patton's Worries...

"Let's go!" Roman pulled himself off the seat and followed Patton to their lockers.

"Roman?" Patton turned his head to Roman, as they stood at their lockers grabbing out their schedules and books,
Roman made a small humming sound,
"I'm scared..." Roman turned to him, shutting his locker,
"Why?"
"...What if there's not so nice people? W-What do I do... I need you to protect me!" Patton whimpered, looking into Roman's eyes,
"Oh, Pat. Don't worry about those things." Roman pulled Patton close to his chest, wrapping his arms around him. Patton listened to Roman's heartbeat which calmed him.
"Okay. I'll try not to. Th- Thanks, Ro." Patton took a deep breath before stepping back and shutting his locker.
"Heh, no problem bud." Roman said proudly, smiling.
"Good luck in class!" Roman called out as Patton caught up to Logan. Roman walked upstairs, catching up to Virgil, who had his hoodie on as to not reel in attention to himself.
"Virge?" Roman asked,
"Huh?"
"Oh, hey." Virgil replied, pulling his hood off from his head. They walked together to their science class.

Logan and Patton were walking together to their class. Patton all of the sudden stopped as he saw the classroom,
"Hm? Patton? You coming?" Logan stopped, turning around to look back at Patton. Patton broke a small sweat,
"Mhm..." He walked up to Logan, clinging to his arm.
"...You alright? You're shaking." Logan asked him, patting Patton on the head,
"I-I'm f-fine..." Patton replied, his voice was shaky.
"Okay... C'mon. I'm here." He assured Patton that he was there and would protect him. Patton nodded, letting go of his arm and walking into the classroom, hiding behind him.
"Hey! Over here!" A nice girls' voice said from the back of the room, Logan looked over and noticed it was Roman's good old friend, Rose!
"Ah, Rose!" Logan said, walking over to her and sitting down next to her. Patton followed, smiling nicely at the kind girl, he sat down on the other side of Rose, sorting his books onto the desk.
"Who are you?" Patton asked nicely, looking at Rose.
Rose smiled,
"Oh, I'm Rose. One of Roman's good old friends from his village. I've known Logan for quite some time too, ever since he traveled with Roman to his village." She chuckled, fiddling with her pencil in her hand. Logan nodded confidently.
"You remembered?" He grinned,
"Of course I did! How could I forget? It was such a fun year!" Rose looked over at Logan, noticing he was smiling.
"You have a nice smile, Logan. I almost forgot about it." She complimented him,
"Oh uh- Th- Thank you..." He awkwardly replied, not knowing how to respond.
"No problem buddy!"
Patton sat there, looking at his desk and starting to worry about bullies again. He started to think about Roman and what he had told him, and how he felt when he listened to his heartbeat. Patton took a nice deep breath before exhaling. Calming himself.
Soon after, three boys with one girl walked in. Looking mean, like they wanted to get into some trouble. Patton scooted closer to Rose as he noticed these people walking in.
"Hhh..." He started to breath heavily, trying to keep his breathing under control.
"Pat?" Logan asked, looking over at him.
"M-Mhm?" Patton was shivering again,
"...Don't worry. Just breath." Rose looked at both of them, then looked over to Patton,
"What's the matter?" Rose asked,
"...B-Bullies. I-I'm terribly afraid of them..." He shivered, letting out shaky breaths as the group of those mean looking students sat down in the row behind where they were sitting.
