Hi this is the author, this is my first story so forgive me if it's shit. Lyall and here we go!
Alex was a girl in a small town, she was 21, she didn't have a job, because her family had enough money that she didn't have to work but she always felt kind of guilty about it. She wasn't shy but she did in fact enjoy her alone time. She freshly moved to this town so she didn't really know anyone there. The reason she moved is because she wanted to escape her parents who didn't want her to leave but then they to compromised and decided together that she won't go too far, so she could visit them a couple times a month. The reason she wanted to leave her parents was she always felt like they were controlling her life. They bought her a cute little apartment and she was actually enjoying her time there. But something about the town seamed weird. She couldn't put her finger on it tho.
This was all happing in the fall, her favourite season. One night after living there for about a week Alex decided she would go to a bar and maybe try to get a job there. She knew her parents would kill her if they found out about her plan, because they were very protective of her, and always said jobs like bartending were too dangerous for her. But she had always wanted to bartend, since she looked at it as an opportunity to meet all kinds of interesting people there.
So she went, after the bar was closed because she wanted to speak to the owner in private and she knew the owner had stayed in the bar hours after it closed, it's what she's observed in the past week of living in the town. She walked in and the bar owner wasn't alone. "Fuck." She though to herself and started turning around so she could leave but the owner stopped her. "Wait, don't go, who are you I haven't seen you before and I know everyone in this town." She took a deep breath and stepped forward, noticing the person with the owner wasn't some old creep, it was a sweet looking boy about her age. What was he doing here so late? He turned and looked at her and gave her a smile. "Well I'll leave you two to chat I need to get some rest anyway, bye and good night."
"Bye Roman" the bartender shouted over the bar."Damn he must of really liked you" the owner said. "Why do you say that, he barely looked at me?"
"Yeah, but he smiled at you, he almost never does that." She blushed and became kind of nervous. "Well if you don't mind me asking you, what are you doing here at 1am?", said the owner. Alex suddenly remembered why she was there and said: "I was wondering if you have any job openings here?" "Oh now i recognise you, you're that rich girl huh?" "Yeah I guess so but please don't judge me based on that." The middle aged woman smiled. "Don't worry about me judging you based on your parents, I'm the last one to do that."Her way of thinking relaxed Alex and made her feel more confident about getting a job there. "If you wanna work here you sure can, were always looking for a helping hand. However the job is long hours into the night sometimes and the pay is garbage, but I'm guessing this isn't about money for you, is it?" Alex shook her head no. "Well then you can start Monday at 5pm." Alex gave her a wide smile. She was insanely happy about getting this job.
"I'll se you then." She started to walk out of the bar but turned around when the owner asked: "I'm sorry I'm a little tipsy so I didn't even catch your name, my name is xxx by the way." "Oh, sorry it's Alexis, but I prefer people call me Alex." "Alrighty Alex, nice to meet you!" "Nice to meet you too, oh and one last thing... does that boy who was here earlier hang out here often?" Xxx smiled, "Not really, in-fact he wanted to leave town today but there was an accident so he's staying here for a while I guess. The accident was pretty tragic but maybe it was fate if you to end up together you know?"
"Wooow, calm your horses I've barely met the guy!" "Yeah, you're right I'm sorry once again I'm a little tipsy."
"It's fine, don't worry about it. See you on Monday?" "I'll se you then and don't be late!"
