chapter one.

Raina's POV

Let's get something straight: I'm not. Now that we got that out of the way, I'll talk a little about me.

I'm Raina, Rai for short, I'm 18 and a senior at Crestlake, my bestfriend's name is Garrett and he's 18 too .. that's about it.

Today's the last day of school and I'm honestly beyond done. My favorite teacher went on maternity leave and wouldn't be able to teach for like 6 months, so that really pissed me off. She was supposed to be homeroom but we got a substitute for the day. I think her name's Kehlani or something.

I met with Garrett and drove his ass to school, he's always either crashed his car or lost his keys. I walked into the school and and sat in homeroom, it was empty minus the teacher which I wasn't really surprised about because I was 15 minutes early.

When my eyes wandered over to her, I instantly was hooked. She had tattoos which were beautifully placed, chocolate brown eyes, and the cutest curly brown hair. She also looked pretty young which is why my fingers were crossed, hoping she was gay.

"Hi, I'm Raina", I said, smiling awkwardly and biting my lip.

"I'm Ms. Parrish, but call me Kehlani", she said in a voice that was sexily raspy.

I was getting wet.

"You look pretty y-young, how old are y-you?", I stuttered.

She smirked. "23".

Wig. I'm 18.

"I'm 18", I said.

She bit her lip and smiled.

"Glad to have you in my class, I'm sure you'll be a pleasure to teach", she said, smirking.

Whew.

"Class starts in a few, go ahead and pick your seat", she said, her fingers tapping on her desk.

I went to sit down when Garrett and a bunch of other seniors walked in.

"Over here babe!", I yelled, trying to get his attention. Me and Garrett use pet names as a joke, he's clearly gay and I'm a lesbian lmao.

Kehlani's ears perked up and turned red when I said babe.

"Hey love", he said, kissing my cheek.

"Have you seen the new teacher?", I whispered.

"She's hot but not my type obviously", he said, laughing.

She had an angry look on her face and she stared towards me.

I gave her a confused look and she just glared at me.

After she gave us an orientation she asked to see me outside, in an angry tone.

"Why'd you lead me on if you clearly had a boyfriend?", she asked, her arms crossed.

"Who?".

"Gary or something".

"Oh, GARRETT", I laughed, "That's my bestfriend and he's gay".

"Oh", she said.

"But I'm flattered to hear I led you on", I said, biting my lip.

"Y-you free this summer?", she asked, her face turning red.

"Definitely".

"Meet me here after school babe", she said, showing the extra raspiness in her voice.

"Okay".
