Elle arrived at the park and sat down on one of the swings. The passing moments gnawed at her excitement and she began to regret rushing out of the school as soon as it ended. She wasn't able to check how many minutes had gone by because she didn't have her phone with her. Finally, she saw Takuma walking by in the distance. The girl eyed the giant black bag he was holding, wondering what was inside. As he neared her, she spotted a canvas and easel barely sticking up from the bag.
"How long have you been waiting? I had to go back and get something." Takuma said, seeing how bored she looked when he approached the park.
"Just a few minutes, it wasn't that long," she quickly replied, and jumped off from the swing, leaving it to rock back and forth. "Taking visual arts this semester?" Noting the art supplies in the bag he held.
"Yeah, my teacher gave us an assignment right off the bat. Thought there would be a grace period because of the schedules. Guess not." he casually said. Alibi? Check. Takuma was very pleased with himself for thinking up such an ingenious method of transporting her soon to be lifeless body. Lucky for him, he really did have visual arts this semester which would back him up in questioning.
"By the way, could we stop at the corner store on the way there? I forgot to buy some groceries the other day." he said sheepishly.
"Sure. I can get us marble sodas too while we're there, my treat."
Takuma was elated hearing that he would be getting his favourite drink for free—three birds with one stone.
"Are you seriously becoming friends with her? Whatever, don't forget to kill her. After she's dead, you can buy as many sodas as you want with her money." On the way to Takuma's destination, little pieces of conversation were exchanged between the two students, mostly initiated by Elle.
"I know a shortcut to the store," Takuma piped up as they walked past a noisy construction site. He gave the kindest smile he could muster while he guided her to the alleyway to their left. "It's this way. Saves you ten minutes of walking time."
"Wow, I never knew that there was a shortcut here! Wish I'd known that before."
After walking deeper on that path, she saw the boy pull a pocket knife out of his pocket as soon as they had gone around the corner.
"Hey, what's the knife for?" Elle nonchalantly asked, deciding that there was no way he would want to harm her. Especially since they were getting along so well.
"To stab a bitch, what else?" Takuma coldly replied with a mocking expression and murderous intent in his eyes. He had a burst of pride seeing that things were playing out accordingly.
The girl went into a state of panic when she realized that he wasn't joking. She realized that it was too late to run away. Nor could she attract attention by screaming. The noise from the construction site would drown out her calls for help.
"I guess it's only fair to let you say your last words before I slit your neck. Or should I start by stabbing you instead?"
"Okay, okay, okay, okay." Elle anxiously muttered, trying to calm herself. "Why do you want to kill me?" she pleadingly asked.
"I could type up a fucking ten page essay with reasons of why I should kill you but personally, I wouldn't want to be stalling any longer than we have to." Takuma haughtily started. "To sum it up, remember that time when you actually stopped talking for once?"
"Uhm-"
"yEah, me neither. You know, I'm pretty sure that Rin is sick of having to hear the noise that comes out from your mouth every day and I'm tired of waiting for a natural occurrence to come fuck you up and dismember you."
