After hours of flying in an airplane, you finally reached the Ebott city. You looked around the rather small town, seeing how much it advanced since you were last here. You remember how it just used to be a ragtag refugee camp of tents and fire pits. Now it's a thriving town filled with smiling monsters. It was nice seeing how much the city grew in fifteen years. Nearing the university, you started seeing old playmates.
As you started to unload your rather light luggage from the taxi, you stopped someone familiar. You could never forget the grayish teal colored wings of Lucifer. You gathered what little stuff you packed and ran to catch up with your best friend.
"Valk!" You cry out. The winged Neko turned to see you. A lively smile finds its way to his face as he pulls you into an embrace.
"(Y/N)! It's been forever! How have you been? AND ALSO STRATOS GOT FUCKIGN UNBANNED! YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!" Valk burst into his ever so adorable fanboying. You smiled as you prepared for what was to come.
"HERO DECK SPAM!!!" You both cry out, not caring what others thought about you two. The both of you made your way to the dorms where you were given your room number ahead of times along with your room keys. Sadly, you and Valk were dorm neighbors. Even though you were disappointed at the fact you aren't sharing rooms with your best friend, you were curious who'll you'll end up with for the next four years of your life.
As soon as you walked in, you took the left side (because the wall and bed aligned with your sleeping habits) and started to unpack your things, even though you barely brought anything. Once you finished, you decided to take a nap. You quickly stripped and laid down on your new bed, which was comfier than it looked and fell asleep.
You woke up and the sun was rising. Shit, you thought, I fell asleep for a long ass time. But your first class wasn't until ten, so you really had no reason to get up yet. You took your phone from your side table and unlocked it. You just wondered about your phone to keep yourself from getting bored and getting out of bed, but your tail was starting to get claustrophobic under your blanket and your ears started to twitch like mad. You knew that you have to get up or else you'll get tail cramps and migraines from to your ears constantly twitching. So, slowly and tiredly, you got up and stretched, letting the sleep escape your muscles, and waking yourself up. Once you were done with that, you let out a relaxed sigh, further pushing your drowsiness away. It felt good to be up, despite your former attempts at not wanting to. You also noticed another body in the room, it was your roommate.
You looked over at your fellow monster roommate. You stare at the sleeping monster, getting a good look at them. Soft white fur, long fluffy ears, horns on top of their head, and for some reason, two black streaks that went from his cheeks to near the corners of his eyes. They had paws instead of hooves and an eye color you still didn't know. The monster started in his sleep, you looked away quickly, fear that your roommate might catch you rudely staring, but they didn't wake up. You went back staring at them, figuring that they were a boy. Now his blanket on when up to his hips. On his back was more black markings, intimidating yet graceful at the same time. He turned again, this time he was awake. He caught you, you didn't look away fast enough.
"Hey, (Y/n but mispronounced), right? There's nothing to be ashamed about, because, to be completely honest, I kinda stared at you last night before I fell asleep. So, really, you have nothing to be ashamed about. Oh, I'm Asriel." The Prince said to you in a soft voice. His eye color was a soft light green.
"My name's pronounced (Y/n)." You let his words sink in, "Wait, you were staring at me? How do you know my name? WAIT, YOU'RE THE PRINCE OF MONSTERS!"
