Flight 407

Hour 9

You are woken up by the sounds of grinding metal and screaming.

Wind whirls around you, strong and forceful winds. Not like the wind you feel when the car window is down, the kind that makes moving extremely difficult.

The smell of fire and rain intrude your senses.

You try to take in everything but panic covers your brain like a thick blanket. All of the sounds and sights are too much for you.

You don't notice Liz screaming your name until she shakes you.

"What is happening?" she shouts.

You can barely hear her over the rushing wind.

You just stand there unable to speak.

"Zach!"

You try to speak but it still no words come out.

Kenji grabs your shoulders and shouts,"We need to get on the back of the plane and jump. It's our only chance." You nod and follow Kenji until someone grabs your arm. It's Ben. He screams,"Help me! I can't get the harness off!" You bend over trying to unbuckle the harness but it's jammed. Kenji pulls you up and shouts, "If we don't jump now we are toast!"

"But we can't just leave Ben!"

"We are going to have to."

"I am not leaving without Ben!"

Then, Kenji lifts you up and practically drags up toward the back. You fight, you kick, and scream. You hear Ben shouting,"NO! DON'T LEAVE ME! HELP ME! HELP ME! ZACH!"

Kenji pushes you out of the plane and jumps after you. Time freezes and one moment you are free falling.
