The Girl and The Green Board

Prologue

I was sitting at my desk staring off into space and tapping my pen on my journal. I had been working on writing an autobiography about my life since athletes apparently do that. I was holding myself back from calling Aereal and Zac to come over and save me from this boringness. I knew that my life was pretty boring, being an only child wasn't interesting, especially with parents who worked a lot. But, who said I have to start in the beginning or this book has to be my whole life's story. I wanted to do that story that everyone knows, but do they know it from the girl who lived it?

I fixed my pen in my hand and started writing, not knowing what would come out.
My name is Rayleigh Peterson. I'm 17 (going on 18) and this is my story...I had a semi-perfect life. Aereal was my best friend and we were glued together. Zac was my other best friend and I also liked him (a lot). Zac and I were inseparable until aereal moved here a couple years ago. But she is also Zac's best friend too and so we are like the three musketeers. Oh, and I had an enemy; stupid Ashlyn Morris. Believe it or not, Ashlyn and I were elementary school best friends. When middle school came around, she dropped me and found new friends. Now we hate each other but we both secretly miss our friendship. And, I'm an award-winning boogie boarder. It doesn't sound like a real sport but it is. I've been competing since I was 10 and I couldn't love something more. One day, my world flipped upside down and my passion was to blame.
