Don't judge pls I'm not really a writer
Although many do consider this to be overrated, its famousness would certainly not be unwarranted. Marvel had been working on a perfectly tailored plan from the beginning towards its end for ten years, and, as soon as Infinity War was released, people were dying to know; was this truly the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Marvel stretches out to many superhero groups conjured by comics under it, but only the group known as the Avengers came out the most widely known and beloved. We couldn't blame DC for being unable to keep up with Marvel, but perhaps that would only indicate that they were waiting for its end before they began to build up their own cinematic universe that people would love just as much as Marvel's. Perhaps it could also be that the Avengers were an irreplaceable project of Marvel's, its variety of heroes stretching out to many of Marvel's beloved heroes, that people would dare to watch those movies over and over again to relive the memory. Who are they to be blamed? I certainly irrevocably and decidedly agree with them.
Back to discussing the "end game" of the MCU or Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, there are still many holes to be filled after the devastating events of the former, which would, hopefully, either lead to a good ending, or an even worse outcome than what transpired before it. Due to its heartbreaking scenes and cliffhanger ending, some were left hollow in slight grief after it was finished, and demanded that the next movie should come as soon as possible; while others, who were not as dedicated to the MCU or as crazy, were left to say that they did not particularly enjoy the movie because they did not understand it, and because of the cliffhanger. But we all know cliffhangers are AMAZING, right? Infinity War was a wonderful experience a roller coaster ride that stopped at a height, and shall be waited to finish.
Regarding Avengers 4, some are beginning to say, through theoretical observation and leaked photo inspection, that Time Travel would be evident in this movie. But perhaps everything would be entirely different, and that Time Travel would not be used at all, and the movie would end up as a series of flashbacks to remember everything that happened to our beloved heroes before its tragic end. I know it must supposedly be a very heart wrenching theory, but it must have been. My cousin and I dedicated and wasted weeks—perhaps months—of our time to view leaked photos, research on confirmations of some theories through interviews on the Russo brothers and rewatch every movie related to Infinity War to examine every important scene and end credits that would, perhaps, give answers to our unanswered questions. And yet, regarding my cousin's theory, this could be Marvel's way of saying, as Doctor Strange quoted, that "We're in the endgame now".
Contrariwise to the despair that Spiderman's or Groot's last words gave us, there were still very endearing moments in the movie like, perhaps, when Stark gives out his nicknames for particular people, or when Drax is at it again with his beloved idiocy, or—well, perhaps I shouldn't be discussing this much. The point is that Infinity War was still funny enough for people to love it beginning to middle, and because of that they did not particularly anticipate the tragic and befuddling cliffhanger.
The post credits scene of Infinity War revealed Maria Hill and Nick Fury disappearing, but not before Fury managed to make a call that would welcome the presence of Captain Marvel into the MCU. Now, as a comic enthusiast, I should have anticipated her presence in an earlier time, (though I am particularly hopeful that Adam Warlock was not included) perhaps Captain Marvel would be their only shot at saving the universe now. But I have some doubts, regarding how she had passed away and passed down the Quantum Bands to Quasar, perhaps she should be just as helpless as the rest of them.
Disregarding the points anything but consoling, the MCU is an excellent project and a wonderful work of artistic fiction that should be anticipated by the ton of the 21st century.
