jack knocked on the front door of finn's house, shoving his hands in his sweatshirt pockets because it was cold out. if he was still fourteen, he would've been so nervous, going to finn's house for a movie date, but now that he was nineteen, he had been used to this.

finn opened the door, smiling and pulling jack inside the house before he shut the door. he cupped jack's cold, rosy cheeks in his warm hands and pressed a kiss to his lips, grabbing the smaller boy's hands, "you're cold."

"well, i walked here," jack smiled, shrugging.

finn brought him into the living room, pushing him lightly inside the fort made out of pillows and blankets, "well, good thing i built a fort! what movie are we gonna watch tonight, love?"

jack shrugged, nuzzling his face into the crook of finn's neck, "you pick. you're always good at picking movies."

the curly-haired boy nodded, "stay here. i'm gonna go get a notebook and i want you to write your favorite movies in it, then i'll pick which one we watch," he smiled, getting out of the fort before running upstairs and grabbing a notebook. he ran downstairs and handed it to jack, pulling him into his lap with a kiss to the back of his neck.

once jack opened to the first page, he furrowed his eyebrows as he flipped through and saw that the pages were already filled, "finn, i think you grabbed the wrong notebook."

finn shook his head, "you should read it. maybe it's for you."

"what is this; my birthday?" he giggled, starting to read the pages filled with finn's beautiful handwriting. it was all about jack, and how beautiful he was, and how much finn loved him. it talked about their future plans with each other, what their wedding was gonna look like, and how many kids they were gonna have. the last page was barely visible since jack had so many tears in his eyes, clouding his vision. he looked at finn, "can you read it for me?"

finn held a ring in front of jack's face, "will you marry me?"

that only made jack cry more, nodding and turning around so he could hug finn. the taller male held onto him tighter, kissing his temple while jack soaked his t-shirt with tears. once they looked at each other, jack kissed finn and let him wipe his tears away, "of course i'll marry you, wolfhard," he smiled.

finn slipped the ring on his boyfriend's right hand, kissing his hand afterwards before motioning to the notebook, "this is my diary. i've been writing in this since we started dating, so that's five years worth of stuff about you," he poked him on the nose, kissing the brunet again before smiling, "now, about that movie..."

(you're welcome kiddos)
