Deep in the empty vast vacuum of space, you can find many wonders and oddities. One of which is a space station nicknamed the Goliath Shell. No one remembers where it came from, just that it's been abandoned. Over the centuries scavengers, pirates, and even some governments have raided the hollow thing for parts and machinery. Over the years though people just regarded it as a relic not worth stopping for. But, currently there was one scavenger who still thought there was something he could use on the ancient ship.
"This, no no, and this one, oh and this one." He stuffed the tech into a large bag already full of stuff. This creature was very lanky and wore a trench coat-esque clothing covered with patches. He was reptilian for the most part. He had green scales with spots of pigmentation and areas of black sprinkled from his snout to his forehead. His eyes were blue with his pupil being a spike of black. The tail he had was long and ridged until the tip where four feathers emerged in parallel. It whipped around as he wandered for parts. Patches of fur emerged randomly without order.
On the outside, a huge figure arrived at the entrance. He placed his hand on a pad and instantly it fell apart and sunk inside the pad. After about two seconds his hand rematerialized and the pad glowed green opening the door. He walked in and the led on his head glowed bright green. Responding to this the lights on the ship all automatically clicked on. The green robot could now be seen as Troop.
The scavengers eyes exploded with shock and horror. This place had been abandoned for centuries, what in the universe could have activated it? He whipped his bag of junk over his back with his tail and started for the door. When he reached the main hallway he sprinted for the exit. As he reached the exit he saw a figure and froze. He ducked down behind a crate out of sight from Troop. Troop stood there, still, as if waiting. Soon a whirling sound came from the doorway. Another anonymous figure zoomed into the main room. They zoomed, and whirled in the air screeching with joy. Catching sight of Troop they groomed down piece by piece and embraced him in a hug.
"Omigosh it's been too long! How long? About a thousand years in most orbital directions of course I could be miscalculation and I'm so happy to be here with someone again!" The small hovering android grappled to the leg of Troop just reaching his waist.
"Greetings Levi. I has been long. Nice to see you." Troop stated bluntly with his monotone voice. He proceeded to grab her by the head and drop her away from him. But only her head moved, leaving a decapitated body grasping his upper thigh. Eventually she let go and bounced up and down, if she could smile it would be wide and giddy.
"Soooo, when are the other getting here? Do think something happened?! What if they got lost?! Oh Ace, oh Camo, oh Gold woe is the day your lives were lost on that fateful day!" Troop stared blankly at the scene Levi had made when a slither came from the door. A trail of white sleeked across the floor. It slowly formed into another Android of a sleek design. "Honey I'm ho-" She was cut off by the instant reaction of Levi who jumped onto her and hugged her tightly.
"Yes you're alive! Did you see anyone else come here? I need confirmation!" Camo dropped Levi vainly as she hovered before hitting the ground.
" *sigh* I'm sorry I just assumed that they got here before me." She crossed her arms, stroking them in a nervous fit. Levi's glow went slightly dim as she gazed down. Troop stood there, without emotion. Hours passed, they stood there losing hope, he had almost passed out.
"There is little point to grieving." Troop stated, breaking the silence. The others gazed shifted to him. Without noise they nodded.
"We must activate the computer." He continued staggering to the control panel. Just as he reached it the gate slammed open with a trail of smoke leaking out. First was a pronged foot that came out, then a mechanical hand grasped the ridge of the frame. And out stepped Ace.
"Did I... miss something?" He turned a questioning gaze to the mourning of his comrades. Their sight marched to him stunned. Even Levi just stood there. Ace walked in as if everything was normal.
"Did you see gold?" Levi weakly asked. Ace looked at her for a second and then at a computer screen.
"No levi, I didn't." Levi tilted her head down in disappointment, Camo patted her on the back trying to comfort the lost of their friend. Ace turned to them and his eyes shifted into a more sympathetic design.
"Look, guys, we left off in a war zone. We weren't winning. When gol- when we decided to stop virus h- WE, we knew the risk. We need to focus on getting set up again. Now, Camo get over here help me with the computer, it always "liked" you the best." Camo waltzed over to the computer and melted her hand onto the the entire control panel, small dents would be made in seconds with every press of a button. With a last few clicks the computer screen came to life with a light violet color. A vibrating sound echoed in the ship while the computer's AI calibrated itself. Soon a face faded on the screen.
"Oh hello there. Ace, Troop, Levi. Camo." She put a lot of enthuses into that last name.
"Ath, it's been a while." Ace awkwardly said, attempting (and failing) to ease into a conversation.
"Approximately 564 years on Mainframe (1000 on earth). And only Cam calls me Ath"
"Yeeeaah heh heh heh. So Camo's here, talk to her." Ace grappled Camo by the arms and shoved her in front of Athena.
"Heeey, Ath how's it going? Sorry to cut this short but could you please scan the goliath? For me?" In almost an instance she started loading a full status report.
"There are five fractures on the outside shell, two gas leaks in the upper level, and one organic inside." Their eyes widened along with the scavengers. He gritted his teeth in nerves and gripped his chest.
"An organic?! Where!?!" Ace slammed his fist on a nearby cargo box leaving a dent the size of a child's head.
"Well right behind you of course. I thought you already knew." The trash thief sprang to his feet and ran for the door. He was immediately bombarded by Troop who had grabbed him by the throat, pinning him to the wall.
"Um, h-hello, wonderful whether we're having. Not a lightning storm in sight." The scaver joked trying to cope with stress. Levi gave a small gig until silenced glares of her peers.
"Tell us who you are and why your here. If you do you will be realised." Levi stated in a calming manor.
Choking on his breath slightly he answered. "My name is Pandareos, I am from the planet Gartyut of the people kah. I am but a scavenger, this place has been abandoned for centuries, I thought it was just parts."
"I heard that." Athena amplified at Pandareos. Troop dropped him as to let him breath.
"Wait so, you must be be Protocol."
"Yes. Now, fill us in on what we missed."
