Chapter 2: The Secret Door

After dinner everyone went to their tenements. Dawn and Vincent started to clean the table when there was a knock on the door Gma Raven and Leo Anthony opened the door. Three big buff men with suits came in the farm house. Dawn ran upstairs and slam the door then came back down and stood next to Vincent telling him that she had Donavan and Jude hide in the trapdoor on the floor. The three men came towards them and asked them if there were anymore children in the house they said no and that they were the only ones and Gma Raven.

They then sat down asking them a lot of questions about how they like working on the farm. Dawn being the oldest told Vincent not to talk at all to let her do all the talking. They looked at Vincent and asked if they wanted to be in the system Dawn quickly said no that they needed to stay with Gma for she might need help around the house They quickly said that they would only get the oldest and take them to work for the army which is a lot of money. Dawn looked at Vincent with soft eyes and a tear left her green eye. Gma Raven looked at them and said "the oldest is the young lady and that young man is her one minute young brother.

They also have names to you know the young lady's name is Dawn and the young man's name is Vincent. They don't really have a last name I found them on my porch when they were three with a note saying their first and middle names but no last."  It was weird to see Gma Raven like this she never acted this way before but now things were changing. Suddenly the Three men got up and left. Dawn quickly went upstairs and came back with their younger brothers. they told them what happened and Jude told them that they found a secret door in the trapdoor they were hiding in.
