I woke up from the sun coming through my currents. I look to see it's 11:30am. I quickly get dress. I grabbed my backpack put some snacks, sunscreen, towel, extra clothes and a beach ball. I went down stairs to the kitchen seeing my mom and dad talking. They looked over to me smiling. I smiled back at them. "Morning baby. How was your sleeping?" Mom ask giving me some toast and orange juice.
"It was fine. Other than tossing and turning around in the bed" I never really get much sleep. Maybe an hour or 3 I'll be fine with. "Well we should put you on that sleeping medication that we got" my dad mumbles not looking up from his news paper. Mom slaps dad on the shoulder giving him 'do not say that to him' look. I hate those pills. It just turns me into a zombie. After getting done I put my dishes in the sink and giving my mom a quick kiss on the cheek.
Heading towards the door until my dad stops me. "Where are you going" he ask me. "I'm going to see if Lacey wants to hang out at the quarry" I tell him. I knew he was going to say something cruel about Lacey. "Son just give up on her. She doesn't want nothing to do with you or anybody" irritation on his face. My dad didn't like the Hale family for some odd reason. I think it was because him and Lacey's parents were good friends. But they soon lost their friendship because of reasons.
I just ignored him and left to Lacey house. As I was walking down the street I see a blue Trans am blasting rock music passing by me. I got scared a little knowing either Henry or Patrick was going to come at me. But they just passed by me. I keep on peddling until I got to Lacey house. As I get there I see one of the trucks gone assuming it's their dad car that left. I lay my bike down walking towards the door. I knocked on it waiting for awhile until I hear footsteps walking to it.
The door opens to see Ezekiel. He grins once he sees its me. "Hey squirt how you doing" he ask me as he lean on the door frame. "Good I guess. My dad tried to get me on those sleeping pills again" I tell him. He knows my sleeping problems. "Forget him. He just mad he can't get an hour of sleep with full energy like you" he smirks at me. I just shake my head trying not to laugh. "Is Lacey here" I said knowing she is here.
She doesn't go out not wanting to draw attention to herself. "Yeah she in her room" he says. He turns then shouts, "Lacey Kevin here. He wants to take you out". I blushed a little looking down. I hear him chuckle a bit. "Where are you taking her" he ask. "I'm taking her to the quarry and I'm going to make her promise me something" I tell him. He nods with a smile on his face. I hear foot steps walking down the stairs to see Lacey. She was wearing a the American flag shirt, shorts, black all star converse, bag and a flag bikini.

I guess she knew we were going to the quarry. "Hey Lace" I smiled to her. "Hey Kevin we are going to the quarry right" she ask me. I nod my head then walking out and saying bye to Ezekiel. She gets on behind me standing up while I peddle. I turn my head up to see her eyes closed and her hair flowing behind her. We get off my bike and walk down the rest to the quarry.
