A party? No way I'm going. "yeah sure I'm coming, no trouble." I'll just say I'm there at the party but not come. Yeah, that's a good idea. "Yay, great I'll drive by your house. What your number? You can get me your address." Noo. "okay," Elliot and I exchange phones, writing our numbers on it. "I'll be there at eight to pick you up. Bye." Elliot runs off out the school. Well looks like I'm going to have a hard time convincing Oliver to lete to go to some party I don't want to go to.
"Oliver, can you pick me up from school please?" I ask after hearing a few beeps go blank from my phone. "why? Isn't it just a 15 minute walk from your school to here?" Oliver protests. I nod even though I know that he can't see me. "yeah, but I'm feeling lazy today. Oliver pleaaase? You wouldn't want to leave your favorite cousin stuck outside school, too tired to walk." I protest. "nope, have fun walking. Love yaa." then the call ends. Ugh, that lazy son of a - "do you need a ride home?" a familiar voice asks. K puirk my head to the side to see Clyde with his ruffled hair. "no, but thanks for the offer." I stand up, starting to walk to my house. "it's okay, Phila. We're friends. You don't have to pay me." Phila. I like that. "okay, thanks." I mean a free ride home wouldn't hurt.
"just tell me the directions and I'll drive." he says. I nod.

"thanks for the ride, Clyde." I say getting out of the car. "no prob Phila." he says after driving away. I insert the keys into the door, opening it and feeling the cool air brush off my bare skin. "Ophelia, is that you?" Oliver asks. "no, it's the headless monster." I say sarcastically. "so, I see you got a car ride without my help," Oliver says while turning off the television. "yeah, and you owe me for not giving me a car ride." I cross my arms. "and what do I owe you?" he raises his eyebrows. "letting me go to a party." I demand but more of a question. "no way Jose." he stands up, walking to the kitchen and I follow. "pleeeease Oliver? I love you soooooo much." I sit on one of the kitchen counters, blocking him from doing whatever he was going to do on the kitchen counter. "no, Ophelia. What's up with you? First you're begging me for us to move back to where we lived ar first and now you're asking me to let you go to a party? Plus what if you get drunk or what if your drink gets spiked?"
I roll my eyes, "I won't drink anything." my fingers rapidly tap on the marble counter. "plus I'll always stick with my friends." fake friends who I use. "okay fine. But be home before midnight or... I'll... God, I'm so bad at this parenting thing." he face palms himself. "Oliver, I'm sixteen. You've raised really well. And you're just eighteen. I'm proud." I pat him on the back then make my way to my room. "love ya bro." I mean, he isn't my brother but he treats me like that.
Okay, okay. What should I wear? Wait. There's no one to impress. I'll just wear my blue skater dress and white converse.

"Ophelia, someone's at the door." Oliver shouts from downstairs. "coming." I shout back, riding the rail down. My eyes wander to the open door to see Elliot at the entrance, Matt in the car along with Clyde. Matt is in the front passenger seat while Clyde is driving. "Ophelia!" Elliot gives me a tight hug, causing me to awkwardly hug her back. "have fun girls, and Ophelia, no boys." he reminds me. "c'mon Oliver I'm sixteen." I groan before Oliver rolls his eyes, closimg the door. "who's the cutie?" Elliot asks. "who, Oliver? Ew he's my cousin." I say. "and he's young. And cute. And -" "Elliot! He's my cousin!" I swear to God this girl is unbelievable.
We get into the car before Clyde drives off to where the party is held. "want some?" Elliot waves a bottle of tequila in front of my face. No drinking. "nope," I shake my head. "oh c'mon, Phila. Are you scared?" Clyde takes his eyes off the road and looks at wide with a wide grin. I'm never scared. I take the bottle from Elliot's hand, chugging it down and feeling a funny feeling in my throat making me cough. "ugh, what the fuck is that?" I pass it back to her, gagging. Clyde and Matt laugh, "you need to drink more alcohol. It'll train you." train me? I've had enough of these people. My head turns to the window, looking at every little thing.
The green trees which look like dark monsters in the dark, cars driving in different speeds, little children in some cars, playing some games on their phones, a black hair guy with a strip of blue in his hair and dark mysterious blue eyes which are impossible to read. SETH? what why is he here? He's driving a car and is right beside me. Should I keep looking at him? Should I turn my head and look away before he catches me? Should I -
Seth then turns to look my way, making my breath hitch in my throat. He sends me an all-too-familiar smirk, the one he always used to look at me like.
"I have a surprise for you, Ophelia." Seth covers my eyes, "just keep quiet and I'll take you there. I nod, sensing presence of trees, grass and flowers go by as we walk deeper into the woods. "are we there yet?" I ask, excited to see where he took me to. "almost..." he whispers in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "okay, open your eyes." I do as he said, opening my eyes and seeing a beautiful place with a circle shaped space with trees surrounding it along with a bigger tree in the middle. "you like it?" he asks. "I love it." I say. I was starting to fall for this guy. My first boyfriend. "well you won't for long..." he said. I was confused. Confused with what he meant and why he said that. "what?" and right after I said that, two boys come out from the trees and tie me against the biggest tree. "hey! Stop! What are you doing?!" I try escaping from their grip but it was useless. "you actually thought I loved you? You're so pathetic. No one will love you. No one loves you." I'm useless. "Seth why are you doing this? I didn't do anything to you." and then I hear nothing. Just the birds chirping, leaves crackling. Tears slowly started to roll down my eyes. No one loves me. No one cares. I can't trust anyone.
"Ophelia, are you okay?" I'm brought back to reality by someone snapping her fingers. "Elliot?" I ask. "what happened? First you were looking out the window then next your face is filled with tears. Is there anything you would want to tell us?" I can't trust anyone. "no, I think something was just in my eyes." I say confidently. "Ooh, we're here? That's a big house." I say after getting out the car. "yeah, that's my house." Clyde says, walking into his house followed by us.
