"Why'd you never tell me?" I asked, glancing at the two vampires that sat across from me. "If you knew that at some point in my life or rather lives that I had been your sister, then why didn't you tell me?"
Stefan sighed slightly, rubbing nervously at the back of his neck. "What exactly where we supposed to say Jules? I'd barely known you a week when I'd managed to figure it out and even then you were still suspicious of me. If I'd have told you that you were once my sister well then, let's just say that you wouldn't be sitting anywhere near me right know."
"Alright Stefanie," I murmured watching as a small smile tugged at Stefan's lips at the nickname that I had once given him. "I believe you; I guess I'm just so sick of people keeping things from me."
"Lover-boy hasn't told you anything," Damon stated, raising an eyebrow. I shook my head once. "I told you from the beginning Julietta that he's trouble, you should've stayed away from him."
"I couldn't have done that Damon!" I threw my hands up in exasperation. From the moment that we has returned to Mystic Falls and I had moved in with the Salvatores I had spent my every waking hour wondering what I could have done to stay away from him. But I always wound up with the same answer. "I couldn't have stayed away from him Damon," I said in a softer voice this time. "We're bound together, from the very first time that I laid my eyes on him I became his and it's a thousand years too late to do anything about it."
He opened his mouth to speak again only to shut it, his attention drawn onto something behind me. Turning round I looked at Bekah as she glanced down at me.
"Come on Julietta," she said impatiently, holding her hand out for mine. "Let's go, you need to get ready."
"What for?"
"Prom, obviously."
I groaned, curling my knees up into my chest as I could curl myself into a tiny ball that she would never be able to see. "I'm not going."
She tutted, rolling her eyes. "Of course you're going, now come along."
"Stefan," I pouted looking at the boy that had once been my twin. "Tell her to leave me alone."
"Sorry Jules." He shook his head. "I can't do that; you have to come with us to the prom and help us convince Elena to turn her emotions back on."
Rolling my eyes I rose to my feet and went to follow Rebekah out of the room. Elena, of course. It would all come back to her. Just like it always did.
Linking my arm through Bekah's I headed up the stairs to pause mid step at Damon's voice. "Remember; kill her with kindness."
"I'd much rather kill her," Bekah muttered from beside me as we continued upstairs.
"You and me both."
