27th of July

July 27, 2014. The most awaited day by Kahelia. The day that she will confess her love for Hector. She's a bit nervous about it. She has been rehearsing the things that she will say to him. You can't blame her though. In every confession there are endless possibilities of what will happen. She might get rejected or they might have a mutual understanding. But she was aware of that. And she knows that she will understand.

'Time to get ready' she said to herself. She put on a nice flowy dress and a pair of sandals. She put on light make up. She was never fond of girly stuff before but she needed to look like a girl today. She was headed to where Hector was working. But something caught her eye. There was a poster on the wall that made her think of a new idea to convey her feelings for Hector.

'Okay. Here it is. The Moonlight Café' she whispered. Her eyes went looking for a tall, lean, and muscular guy paired with ocean blue eyes that will make you melt. And then she saw him right at the counter, serving customers with his majestic smile. She went to the line and waited for her turn. After minutes of waiting, finally it was her turn. 'How may I help you mam?' Hector asked. She was captivated by his voice that she was so love struck to speak. She gained her composure and said 'One cookies and cream delight and hot chocolate please.' When she was about to pay, she remembered the poster. 'What's the date today?' she asked very shyly. '27th of July mam' he answered and with that, she gave him a very sweet and passionate kiss. Then she hurriedly left the café without a word.

The next day she was worried about going to school. Why? Because she might encounter his presence. But she needed to go today, she has an exam that she can't miss. She is now a graduating student and it might be bad if she would repeat another year. After 30 minutes she was inside the school in no time. Her eyes were always searching, but in the end there was no sign of him. Hours have passed and she haven't had a glimpse of him. 'Maybe he didn't liked me too.' she thought. It was her last period and there is only 10 minutes left before the bell rings. The teacher was talking about how atoms bond with another atom. But she wasn't listening. She was thinking about him. 'Hello. Uhh. Everyone can I have your attention please? So okay, here goes nothing' a familiar voice from the speakers said. 'There was this odd girl that came to the place where I was working and she just kissed me and left without saying goodbye. And from then on she never left my mind. I knew her from the start. She's studying here too. I was always looking at her when I had the chance. I was too shy to come and talk to her. She is very beautiful, smart and funny. And because of what she did, I am determined to make her mine. So if you're listening, please go to the cafeteria after classes. I'll be waiting.' And with that the speaker went off. Everyone was whispering and cheering. Even the teacher was in awe struck. Kahelia was very much surprise. 'He likes me too. He likes me too.' she thought. She went to the cafeteria as fast as she can. And there he was, standing with orange tulips on hand. Smiling, he immediately went to her. 'Kahelia, I like you. With all my heart, would you like to be my girlfriend?' he asked. 'Yes! Of course!' she answered with a smile. 'So why did you kissed me yesterday?' 'Yesterday was international kissing day. If you have someone you like you could kiss them until 12 midnight.' she answered. With a goofy smile, 'Well now, you can kiss me everyday.' And with that he kissed her passionately.
