Chapter 1

I woke up in the morning I just had showered in my room and and prepared for my mission. My mission impossible challenge was to get a cup of coffee in my kitchen and sneaked back into my room without let my parents know it. I knew it sounds lame right now but you would understand how important it is for me to get this coffee. I hide in every corner to listen if someone is wake up early in this morning. When I didn't hear anything I just sneaked past into the stairs, made the coffee and locked my room door. I felt relieved to succeed my mission. I took the book from my nightstand and read in my bed. Hello, my perfect Sunday morning with book and my coffee.

I was in my bed while my fingers flicked to get into new page on the book I read. Finally I got into the good part of the book and goanna find who is the culprit in this murdered suspect book. I drank the coffee and put it beside my bed. Everything is perfect for my Sunday morning life and I tried to make myself in my own happy world until...

"Summer I know you in there." My step dad knocked my door.

I just put the silent mode in me. I hoped he would go away after I don't answer to him. Maybe that's coward but that is one of my best solutions to deal with my family drama.

"Honey, please opened the door. Did you do any forbidden activities in there!" My mother became frantic with my silences so I answered before she exaggerates her imagination. Officially, my perfect Sunday morning is not perfect anymore.

"I don't do any forbidden activities mom. Happy? Go away!" I felt really grouchy.

It seemed they didn't believe me and I heard rustling outside my door. I saw my doorknob was turning and I realized they used their spared key to get into my room.

My mom seemed to invite herself in before my step dad even can get inside "Honey, please just go into support group. You can make some new friends in there."

"Thanks mom, you seemed to be thrilled to put your only daughter into mental illness support group." I smirked to challenge her.

My mom started her dramatic mode and tears flowed from her eyes. "What do I do Dave? She don't even listen to me anymore."

"It's ok Sophia. Let me talk to her." He hugs her after my mom break down.

"Summer you need to go there. They can fix your habit to do dangerous activities and your psychiatrist recommends you to go there. They have a lot teenager in there that have the same bad habit. I'm sure it will be ok." My step dad stared at me.

"For the last time I explained this. I'm only accidentally cut myself. I never do any drugs or become psychopath. I don't need any psychiatrist or psychologist and especially mental illness support group. Please, don't make me go there." I felt breathless and got a little panicky attack. If I think about new people I'm about to meet and with the mix it will be some kind mental house in there. Well, it's not really good combination. Especially I'm kind of specialist in wreck anything with my socially awkwardness.

" You need to go in there. At least you have tried it and if you don't like it. We will not push you anymore." Dave even if he was my stepdad definitely he had better understanding than my mom not to push me to do anything.

I just did this twirled motion with my finger and tried to weight all the consequences. I needed to be there for 2 hours and out of any nag from my mom. It was lucky that my mom with her dramatic attitude didn't push me out to lived in mental house or something and just let me to go into support group. I mean how bad it is to be in there just for 2 hours. I wished I known about roller coaster journey I was going through after this decision. The past me oblivious of any of it and seemed to sign the most important deal in my life from it.

"Pinky promised. I can never attend it anymore if I don't like it." I let my pinky finger out.

"Ok pinky finger." My mom seemed to hurry to seal the deal before I changed my mind.

"Well, with all of that sort out. Dave please takes her to get there. "My mom seemed put the winning smile in her face that make me feel that I was trap in this situation. I groaned and smacked my face while doing my pity party inside of my head.

"Come on chop chop chop. The sun will not shine for eternity." Mom did her exaggerate motion again to make me move.

"Ok ok. Wait a second I changed my outfit first. Please step out." I just go into closet and do the fastest way to choose my outfit.

When everything settled I went into Dave truck and sit beside him. I looked at the window see the rain that falling in the car window. I just put my hand into the rain pattern in the window while looked at Dave silhouette from the mirror in it. I just felt glad that my mom married him 2 years ago. He could take all mom wimps even her the weirdest dramatic behavior. I would made green light for him to marry my mom just for that reason alone since even me as her own daughter sometimes couldn't stand out her dramatic behavior.

The other reason is he could save my mom heart and let her happy. My mom deserved to be happy after all we have been through and at least she can be happy for both of us. It felt weird that even my mom already saved from the past shadow I am still stuck in here.

"We've been here." Dave shakes my body to wake me up from my la la land.

"Ok. Thanks Dave." I let my hand to get the bag and jumped out from the truck.

"Hey kiddo. Just try enjoy it, ok?" He spoke in nervous voiced waited for me to freak out.

"Yeah Dave. I ... I...will try. No promise" I hurried to close the door before I'm going to beg so I could run away as far from this place.

Here we go. I stepped the stairs one by one when my instinct told me to move the opposite way. I braved myself into the door of my nightmare.
