I couldn't believe it, it had been forever since I last saw him, it had been 8 years at the most.

8 years earlier...

"I can't believe Theo did that London, I'm so sorry, he can be so annoying at times" Mina apologized as she was trying her best to get the feathers out of my hair. Theo, her older brother had come home from his last year of College for spring break and had pulled yet another prank on me. I swear I don't understand how he could be in College, he acted like a 12 year old boy.

"No, it's okay Mina, I'm completely used to your brother's antics by now, even though I thought he would've stopped them when he got older, I guess my wish was a stretch" I said to make her feel less terrible about her brother. Theo had been doing this sort've stuff to me ever since my family and I had moved next door to them back when I was 8, he just loved to torture me with his pranks. I guess old habits die hard even when you're a 22 year old man. It still made no sense to me, whenever we were in public he acted like a complete gentleman, one that I wouldn't mind liking, but then as soon as we were alone, the two faced heathen would annoy and tease me to no end, you would think him being 4 years older than me would enable him to mature before me, but nope this girl still grew up before him.

As Mina pulled out the last feather the devil entered her room with the widest smirk on his face, could I at least breath before he continued to torture me? "What do you want Theodore?" i teased as he hated when someone called him by his full first name, he said it sounded stupid and unnecessary. He scoffed at me and continued to speak, "first of all, shut up London, and two I just came up here to tell Mina that Mom needed her downstairs, something about volunteering in Uganda and papers". Mina jolted up taking some of my hair with her, i screamed in pain, it felt like I had lost a whole chunk of hair. "Sorry London" she apologized as she started to jog towards her door in excitement, but no excitement could stop her from pausing in front of her brother, "Don't you dare touch her Theo, I just got out your last weapon of choice, if I come up here and you have pulled another one of your pranks, I will not hesitate to kill you" she threatens Theo as she then heads out the door.

Silence. That's all you heard when Mina left the room, you could drop a pin and still be able to hear it. Theo looked at me with a cheeky grin, hopefully he didn't get any sort of ideas to disrupt my peace. I was preparing myself for the destruction that was about to happen to me when the demon spawn spoke, "I can't believe you put up with me after all these years Lonnie Bear, you must really like me.", "Don't call me Lonnie Bear, Theodore, and I most definitely don't like you, you have been a complete scoundrel since the day we met. Why would I like you?" I scoff at his vacuous remark. He starts to move towards the chair I was sitting on, too close for comfort might I add. "Because, I know under all that sass you are in love with all of this" he says as he directs his hands to his whole body. At that moment I laugh harder than I have in my entire 18 years of life, this boy was in some serious need of medical assistance if he thinks I would want him in any sort of way. He gives me a slight side eye, " What's so funny?" Theo asks as I continue to laugh. "Nothing, just that you think I want you" I answer, he rolls his eyes at me and grips the handles of the chair which then causes me to immediately stop laughing, his face was 5 inches away from mine, I could practically feel his breath. "You're a good liar, Wester, but not good enough" he states and I inch closer, "You wish I liked you Theodore Pierce, sadly for you I have standards, I don't date guys who act their shoe size instead of their age."

He pushes himself away from the handles allowing me to breathe properly again, he starts to laugh a little while walking around the room, "Whatever you say. Just know that your handsome prince charming won't be around here anymore, I'm going to Boston for Med School.", I open my eyes wider in shock, "Wait, they actually let you in....god that school must have low standards." I chuckle as he gives me a mean mugging, he then sighs and continues with his overdramatic speech, "I'm going to let that comment slide due to the fact that you are going through a emotional time as you are just hearing that your lover is moving away. Anyways, I will be leaving as soon as I graduate in a couple of months, I hope you won't miss me too much". I then turn away from him and start to do a little happy dance, this is the best news I've ever heard, he then turns to face me and I stop in my tracks. "Oh yes, I will miss you with all my heart" I sarcastically say to tease him, "Cut the crap Wester, you're just lucky I won't be here anymore, I had so many more pranks for you, good ones." Theo says agitated. I roll my eyes, stand up and begin to walk over too him, he may be taller than me by almost a foot, but that wasn't going to stop me from trying to look intimidating. "Well too bad, I guess we'll never see them, but don't think I won't be looking out for you these last few months, if you even try to slightly touch me, Mina won't be the only one for you to worry about." I state to try and to get him off my back. In the end he just laughs at me and grabs one of my curls and starts to play with it, "You're so cute when you try to act tough, I expect the next time we see each other Wester that it improves." Theo then walked right out of the door.

Back to the Present...

And that was the last time I saw him, of course I saw him when he came home for summer vacations, but it was never enough time for him to annoy me. I was too busy with college and life to worry about him, I always wondered what happened with him, it had been 8 years, I hoped I would never see him again, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

"Alright everyone, make haste, we have a very busy day ahead of us, interns find your Residents and start rounds, you're assignments should be on the bulletin board to your left." Dr. Mulihadid then exits the room and a swarm of interns head to check the board to see who their boss is for the next year. Being short does have its perks, I end up grabbing Lillie's hand and dragging her through the crowd every which way. When we end up at the board I look everywhere for my name and then I spot it as well as Lillie's, we're in the same group, thank god. "Lillie we're in the same group!" I yell so she could hear me over everyone, I saw a smile appear on her face, she must've hear me, "Really?! That's good! Who are we with?!" She asks, I look back over at the board to answer her question, "Ugh, we're with Dr. Mallon, let's get out here so we can find them, and with that I pull her out with me and we go on to find Dr. Mallon.
