Innocence

Let's Start at the Beginning

   Hi, I'm Hanna Cohen. I'm 18 years old and I go to Goliath Academy. I have a pretty normal life, great friends, great grades, a perfect boyfriend and a family who cares for me deeply. So, I guess you could say I have everything I could ever ask for. Until, that night.

  *BEEP BEEP BEEP*

   "UGH, this stupid alarm. ALRIGHT! IM UP! Jesus! I yell at the dreaded alarm that was keeping me from sleeping the whole day.

  I couldn't stand getting up so early. It's honestly the worst thing about school. I mean what's the point? Why wake up everyday at 6:00 in the morning just to go to school. Why can't they make a school where you don't even have to wake up so early. What if there was a school that was only an hour long? That would be the BEST thing ever. Government... please make that happen.

  I get up out of bed and slouch to my bathroom. Everyday I have a routine, get up, brush my teeth, do my hair and face, put on some makeup, then go downstairs to eat breakfast.

  After I was done with that, i wait for my best friend in the WHOLE FREAKING UNIVERSE to pick me up.

   I see her driving up the road and finally come at my house. "Get in bitch!" Shanya smiled.

  Shanya, my bff since 2nd grade. Ever since then we've been pretty inseparable. We do literally everything together. I can remember once in 8th grade we both got detention for flipping off our teacher because he gave us a zero on our group project. Ha! Those we're the days.

   I hop in her jet black Toyota car and she zooms to our school. Once we arrive we get out of the car and we intertwine our hands and smile as we walk into the school like the bad bitches we are.

  "Looking good ladies" the tall jock said to us.

"We know" saying it in unison. We continue walking when we get halted by the one, the only Jada Thompson.

  "Hey!" How are you doing this fine eveni-

  *Pause*

   Jada Thompson, my once bff. We were pretty close in middle school but everything changed when she decided to ditch me for the popular kids. She once had the nerve to ask me why we fell out. Ugh, sometimes she can be really annoying. We talk here and there but its the same as it use to be.

  "Evening!" Jada said in a welcoming tone.

  "I'm fine, thanks" Shanya said in a sarcastic tone.

   "Ok, well I'll see you in class. Bye. "Oh, hi Hanna. I didn't see you there." Tata!

  She strutted out of our way like the queen bee she is.

  "Sometimes, I want to strangle her" I say in a annoying voice.

  "Same here girl" Shanya agreed.

   We continued walking when we spotted my hot, beautiful, hunk of a man Logan. We've been dating since freshman year. He plays soccer and has 4.0 GPA. He has two siblings, a brother and a sister. I met them before and they are just the cutest.

  "Hey babe" Logan said lustfully. He kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me.

  Hey! How was the game last night, im sorry i couldn't come. I was busy.

  "No worries, and it was good. We won 10-8" Logan replied.

  "I'm proud of you!" I give him a hug and give him a peck on the cheek.
 
  "Well, I guess I'll see you later?" I say.

   'Most definitely" said Logan while grinning.

  Me and Shanya resume walking in the halls where we see the annoying Veronica Delacey. Veronica is...the slutty one in the school I guess. She sleeps with any and every guy she lays her hands on. We never talked though, like ever. We lock eyes when we see each other in the halls but that's it. We never had a genuine conversation together.

  "Hi, Hanna." Veronica said in a dull tone.

  "Hey" I replied.

    She smiles then walks away, see what I mean? Veronica is Bff's with Jada. Veronica's the reason me and Jada fell off the wagon. They are pretty much "best friend goals".

   Shanya and I continue to walk and we stopped for a second to greet my friend Keith.

   Hey, Han! Keith says gleefully.

    "Hey, Kite" I say jokingly.

   "Kite" is the nickname i gave Keith when we were in 5th grade. The reason why is because one day we had recess outside and Keith decided to bring his kite to recess. Keep in mind that Keith is pretty thin and flimsy. So he plays with his kite and a HUGE wind comes out of nowhere and picks him up and his kite and they get stuck in a tree. It one of the most best days of my life. I'll never forget it.

  "When are you going to stop calling me "Kite?" Keith says.

   "When it's not funny anymore, Hint hint, it won't". I say laughing.

  "Whatever, are you ready for that Chem quiz?"

   "Ready as I'll ever be". I say confidently. 

   Wait, THERE WAS A CHEM QUIZ? HOW COME KNOW ONE TOLD ME? Shanya exclaimed.

   "Even if we did Shay, you wouldn't have studied." said Keith.

   "That's true". She says defeatedly.

   I laughed and the three of us walk to Chem together.

*After Class*

  "Well that was horrible, I totally failed that test." said Shanya.
 
  "Maybe if you studied, you would've passed" I said.

  "Whatever, Chem is stupid anyway." Shanya said as she rolled her eyes.
 
  We walked out Chemistry and were walking to our next class but we were interrupted by the bitch of the school, Alexa Cervo and her sidekick Phoebe Jones.

  They are the meanest of the mean. Alexa is the most popular and most hated at the same time. Her blonde hair and that devious smile she always makes gives me the creeps. Phoebe used to be a loser that is until Alexa took her under her wing and made her popular. I honestly don't know why she's still friends with her. All Alexa's doing is using her. I guess she's that gullible. Oh did I forget to mention that they're besties with Veronica? Oh well.

   "Well well well, if it isn't Hanna, remind me why you're even alive still?

   "Go to hell Alexa, leave me alone. I say angrily.

  She looks at me disgusted and then laughs.

  "Bye, Hanna, have a nice day." she says sarcastically.

  I roll my eyes and I clench my fists. One day she'll get what's coming to her.
