Me and My Literature Club (Chapter 3)

Early Morning: 2:00 AM 

This is bad. I had a nightmare where everyone is dead. Natsumi on the floor, with a weird liquid below her and her neck was bent to the side, as well as Yui laying on a chair with a knife stabbed to her hear, and lastly Saki was hanged swaying side to side, Momoka was nowhere to be seen, but there was one person there who was standing by the sidelines, speaking from afar 

"This is your fault." he said in repeat, over and over. 

Until I finally screamed from the top of my lungs.

"What the heck was that nightmare?! and Why was Kaoru there?" I scratched my head and went back to sleep. 

Daybreak: 7:00 AM 

"Ughhhh" I groaned as I try to lift myself upright from the bed 

"Time to prove that nightmare that it was wrong!" I said to myself as I put on my school uniform and headed out of our house 

As I was walking the usual route to school, I have noticed a decrease of people walking around and students on their way to school. 

"That's strange" I said again to myself

But when I stopped to a nearby convenience store to get food for my lunch, I saw Kaoru with his yellow hair on the counter paying for the food he bought. 

"Hey, Akio, how well did you sleep yesterday?" he asked me.

Why is he asking me this? Was he really the one I saw in my nightmare last night? I decided to drop the subject for now. 

"Slept like a log yesterday, It was tiring~ how bout you?" I asked him. 

"I didn't get a wink of sleep last night, actually, due to some personal reasons"  

"Oh, really huh." I sighed. 

"Wanna walk to school, together?" He asks. 

"Oh sure" 

And so we walked to school together, we didn't have any conversation on the way to school surprisingly but when we already arrived to school, he told me a message. 

"Think what you have to do. Its all on you. Their lives depend on you." 

I walked quietly to school and went to my classroom as soon as I arrived the school gates 

After the weird encounter and talk with Kaoru, Homeroom started and I quietly listened to the teacher's lectures 

And so after the tantamount of lectures given, Lunchtime has finally sprung upon us, but when I arrived in the cafeteria, I saw everybody across the floor, covered in blood with Kaoru at the middle holding a knife covered in blood. 

I then rubbed my eyes, and my surroundings went back to normal, everyone just enjoying their lunch break, and Kaoru was nowhere to be seen. 

After that, I went back to my classroom to just doze off since the teacher haven't arrived yet 

Afternoon: 5:00 PM 

Finally school is out. Time to go to the Club. The Literature Club. As soon as I arrived in the clubroom, I saw Yui and Natsumi chasing each other with Natsumi with a pie on her hand and Yui's face with pie cream, and Saki just recording the whole thing and Momoka just posing with shades on. 

I quietly made my way out of the clubroom, and hope I get a more peaceful situation out of the mess I just saw. 

After a few minutes, I decided to enter the clubroom again, and saw all four of them in a line, bowing their heads. 

"We're very sorry, Akio! You had to see a embarrassing side of us!" Momoka exclaimed . 

"Its fine, its fine, it makes me happy when you guys are enjoying yourselves" I scratch the back of my head. 

I then saw Momoka turn back and slapped both of her cheeks and she turned into the same old President of The Literature Club. 

"Well guys, since the School Festival is coming up, we better finish the stuff we gotta present tomorrow! A poetry performance where everybody can share their thoughts! Also Sweets are included, of course!" Momoka said. 

"Alright! Yui, you shall be in charge of the slogans and artworks, Natsumi will be in charge with cupcakes, make them cute, fluffy and delicious, and finally Saki and I on the poems to be presented the following day! Lets get to work everyone!" She then clapped her hands and told everyone to start working 

Yui and I got started working on the slogans and painted the remaining available blank canvas, and the others left to dry for an hour, while waiting, Yui decided to take out a book and read, while I go to Kitchen Lab where Natsumi is baking the cupcakes to be served tomorrow 

I was also taught by Natsumi to make cupcakes for tomorrow, Good thing, it all went smoothly 

After helping both of them with their  individual projects, I went back to the club room where I saw Momoka and Saki stacking up the poem submissions to be read tomorrow for the performance, I smile at their effort on making this festival a success 

And so countless hours have passed and finally everything is prepared for tomorrow's activities and events, I decided to walk home alone today for Momoka and Saki said they had to finish up the decorations for tomorrow's event 

But while I was walking home the usual route, I saw Kaoru standing below a lamp post. Its lights flickering. 

"You managed to avoid it, good work." He said as he disappears. 

"I swear, Kaoru is one weird guy" I told myself as I continue walking home 

As soon I arrived home, I plopped on my bed, haven't even changed out of my clothes yet, and went to sleep early.
