After Vasquez saved warrens life, she let me and him ride with their group.
We had a small white van for about 2 days then it broke down. And we were on foot.

"Let's stay off the roads and walk up in those hills." Warren pointed.
It was a wise move. We had no vehicle so no way to get away from any bandits or bounty hunters.

We all carried on walking.

"Move." Vasquez ordered Murphy.

"Your not the boss of me...." Murphy snapped, Vasquez got in his face, "she is." Murphy pointed to Warren,

"You'll get used to him." Warren sighed, "move." Warren said gently with a sarcastic hand gesture.

"Gladly." Murphy said eyeing up Vasquez.

Vasquez was clearly annoyed by this but we all carried on walking.

I hadn't made a conversation with this new group, they didn't look like they could handle a fight or fend for themselves. I don't even know why Vasquez decided to stick with them, we could've easily taken Murphy off them and be almost their by now.

I walked at the back of the group just keeping and eye our surroundings.

After the nukes weird Shit started happening to people and zombies.
Radiation poisoning was killing more survivors than the Zs in some areas.

I was busy in a day dream, thinking about what was out there, what could be watching us right now, I obviously didn't notice the group had stopped and I walked straight into the back of someone,

"Shit sorry.." I said I stepped back and 10k turned around,

"It's okay." He smiled back and then turned around again.

Why did one smile make me feel better about this shitty situation we was in.

It was weird.

Gun shots started to go off, I ducked down naturally and saw what everyone else was looking at,

"Didn't anyone else watch western movies growing up?" Murphy was sat on a rock, "you can never travel through a valley without an ambush."

We all watched as a huge convoy were stopped by some bandits who'd blocked the road.

"They are doing pretty well for a bunch of sitting ducks." Warren smiled,

I noticed Vasquez was looking at me, we haven't spoken much for the past few days since we never get a moment alone. It didn't bother me much, we didn't have anything to talk about but it's nice talking to him. He's like a big brother to me.

Warren was busy giving out orders, of corse I wasn't listening.

When everyone spilt up I stood confused until Vasquez gave me a slight signal to follow him and 10k.

We looped around the hill and 10k shot a bandit off a quad bike,

"That's one way to do it." Vasquez commented.

After some discussions Warren managed to get us all a lift with the convoy. Sam Custer was the man in charge and was talking about blasters, though me and Vasquez had already had some pretty bad experiences with those.

"You are one badass lady...you was just like..BOOM.... like a stone cold killer.." a random boy with a bowl hair cut walked up to Warren praising her for her help.

The main man Sam sent the boy away and apologised for him saying his name was wrecking ball.

Weird.

"What's in Edmington?" I ask the man, it was apparently where this convoy were heading.

"Peace... tranquillity.. the Zs hate the cold." Sam smiled at me.

I smiled back satisfied with his answer, it sounded a lot better than this hell hole. He brought out a post card with a photo of the place. I smiled and nodded.
Warren asked him about the medical wagon, with many sick people riding inside.
Radiation poisoning.

The man explained that he was trying to care for them but they are dying. Then he offered us a lift.

Warren gladly accepted the offer and we all got on. I sat with my legs dangling off the edge of the huge trailer. I kept seeing zombie then they kept disappearing.

Addy decided to ride in the medical wagon with Murphy and his pet.
Cassandra. I don't like her. They way she looks at you like a snack.
Apparently Murphy bit her and now she's stuck between being a zombie and a human. 10k is attached to her, maybe they had some sort of a thing before Murphy got to her.

The truck slowed up a bit as we all passed a sign.

"Zombie road - no go." I read out allowed to myself. Great.

Moments later we passed a few smashed up cars and some bodies led on the floor. I pulled up my legs. I didn't feel comfortable letting them dangle that close to a body.

As we got closer everyone noticed their faces had been smashed up, almost like a tin can had been opened and the brains were missing.
I felt like being sick.

Warren moved up near the front of the truck to talk to Sam about the bodies. Vasquez made his way over to me. He stood up towering over me with his gun pointing at the surrounding hills.

"Blasters are here..." I mumbled.

"Yeah.. lea i know. You'll be okay."

"Why are we even with this group?" I asked, I let my legs dangle again off the side and watched the world race past my feet.
"Because there can be safety in numbers." Vasquez clenched his jaw, I knew he was on edge. We both knew what blasters are capable of.

"It's almost as if the blasters are following us." I looked up at Warren who was making her way towards us. I gave her a smile and she returned one.

"Why don't you go check up on everyone?" Vasquez said to me, I knew he wanted to speak to Warren alone so I got up and walked slowly down the trailer careful not to slip off.

I came to where 10k was sat, he was on top of some old car covered in netting. He was hugging his rifle like it was a baby.

He always did that.

He smiled as I walked up to him, at first I felt a bit awkward, but I just sat down near by,

"Sorry for walking into you earlier..."

He stopped me, "don't mention it, there are worse things that could happen."

We both laughed a little and then sat in silence just enjoying each other's company's.

"How old are you lea?"

"16" I replied.

"How'd you get here?" He asked, he was being a bit to curious.

"What do you mean?"

"Well... your accent it doesn't sound American." He looked at me carefully then looked away.

"I moved to America 2 months before the apocalypse, I'm from England." I admitted, "I try my hardest to hide my British accent."

He laughed a little.

"I don't get it?" I frowned at him.

"Why hide it? You should be British and proud." He aimed his gun into the distance and then lowered it.

"I made a few enemies, they know my voice because of its accent."

He didn't question me anymore. I could tell he was thinking about what I'd said, and to be honest I was glad he didn't ask anymore questions.
