From Enemies to Lovers (a Pothena story)

Athena

As the first rays of sunshine hit Mount Olympus, my eyes flutter open to greet the new day. I have been having nightmares for the past  few weeks. They have all been about the same thing, me and Poseidon kissing.I get up from my bed and walk to my bathroom. I brush my teeth and have a cool shower. I then walk to my closet.
"What should I wear today?" I think aloud.
I decided on a grey shirt that hugged my body and had a cute owl on it and black skinny jeans with black Nikes. I left my long, dark brown hair open so it fell over my back. I slipped on my grey analogue watch and walked out of my bedroom and down the stairs to the throne room.

When I get there, I  see the throne room empty. Well Athena, what did you expect? It's 4 o'clock in the morning! I walked to my throne and sat down. I then look at the  cyan throne opposite me. I hated that throne as much as I hated who sat on it. While I was thinking about vandalising it, I see Aphrodite walk into the room and take her place next to me.
"Morning Aph." I say cheerfully. She's not never up this early. I wonder what made her get up so early.
"Hey Ath! She says smiling and  giggling at me.

I look at her with a confused look.
"If you think I'm giggling about your outfit, you're wrong. I smile awkwardly at her while she giggles and smiles like and idiot.
"Uh Aphy, have you been smoking weed?"
"No! How dare you think that!"
" Well, you're giggling and smiling like an idiot. What else am I supposed to say?" She glared at me, and then went back to giggling and smiling. She's definitely been doing weed. Probably got it from Ares. We sat in silence for a few minutes. I got and went to go get us some grape juice from the kitchen. I put one glass on her arm rest and I sipped mine.
"Athy, I've been meaning to ask you this question for a long time and now that we're alone, it is the perfect opportunity to ask you." I think the weeds worn off.
"What is it?" I ask in a bored tone.
She comes right up to my ear and asks
"Who do you like?"

I spit out my grape juice and choke.
" That's it! I'm going up to your room and I am searching for that weed!" Aphrodite looked at me puzzled.
"Why are you so worked up Athy? I just asked who you like."
"You know that I took an oath to a maiden Aph! Why would I like anyone?"
"Just because you took an oath to be a maiden does not mean you don't have feelings for anyone. I know you have feelings for someone, I can sense them. I just don't know who they are directed to."
" Aphrodite, I don't like anybody okay. And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you." Aphrodite looked at me with a puzzled look.
"Why?"
"Because you will blab about it to all the gods! That's why!" Aphrodite took my hand.
" Athena, you liking somebody is like, water coming out of a volcano. It is very strange, and very rare. If you told me that you liked someone, I would take a thousand different oaths that I will never tell anyone about it."

I looked at Aphrodite with guilt, and with my grey eyes, it's very visible when I feel guilty. I gave her a small smile.
"Aph, that was very sweet but, as I told I don't like anyone." She looked at me disappointedly.
"But, if I do develop any feelings for anyone, I will come straight to tell you okay, how's that?"
She looked at me with the biggest smile I have ever seen.
"Oooooooh! Yes, yes, yes! Yes please!" I laugh.
"Okay." She practically jumps on me.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!" I squeezes me till I'm basically choking.
"(Coughs) can't (coughs) breath!"
"Oh, sorry." She gets off me and I gasp for air desperately.

All of a sudden there are big flashes of light around the room. All the gods are in their thrones. I see Poseidon in his cyan throne. He is wearing, yet again another sea blue shirt, shaggy blue jeans and navy Vans. But, this time, his shirt hugs his body, showings off all his muscles. Wow, he has a lot of muscles. All of a sudden my heart starts to beating faster. I feel like it is doing flips. He notices and I look away qiuckly, a burning sensation forming in my cheeks. Zeus looked like he was half asleep.
"Good (yawns) morning everyone one." We all moan.
"Today for our morning (yawns) meeting, we will be discussing the punishment for Athena, Poseidon, Aphrodite (yawns) and Ares." I quickly sit up in my throne.
"For what?!" The 4 of us yelled.
"For that incident!"
We all quickly sit back in our chairs, remembering the past events.
"That incident?" Aphrodite asks.
"Yes. That incident." We chuckle
