25 Years Later

'Koel, Koel,Koel,' said Meeta. Koel looked up and said 'Why are you shouting so much.'
Meeta waved a letter in her hand and said 'You got the job. Your dream job. Look the appointment letter.'
Koel read it and jumped in air and said 'Yessss. Finally, I am so happy to get this job. Now I can fulfil every dream of mine.'
Meeta hugged her and said 'And you will meet so many handsome men too. You will fall in love and have beautiful love saga.'
Koel hit Meeta on the head and said 'You and your attachment with love sagas. You know very well, that I hate the concept of love.'
Meeta said 'Who knows ? You might meet someone suddenly and then realise that he was there with you the whole time but you didn't realise it.'
Koel laughed and said 'Alright, my filmy drama queen, calm down and tell me what should I wear tomorrow.'
And they decided on a pale pink saree. The next morning , Koel woke up with a huge smile. She got ready and called Meeta. Meeta said 'I will be there in a minute.'
She came and said 'Koel, you look amazing. Absolutely ravishing and so confident. Come now, I will drop you at your work place.'
Meeta dropped her and Koel took her first steps towards success. As she looked around the campus , she slipped and fell on someone's arms. Their eyes met and something tugged inside them. There was a spark and a connection was made. Koel straightened up and said 'Thank you.'
The man said 'Well, you should watch your step ma'am, I won't be there to save you everytime. By the way, I am Aniket Mehta.'
Koel said 'Koel Chandna.'
They shook hands and the connection which they felt awakened. Annika's soul trapped deep in Koel's body,and Shivaay's in Aniket's looked at each other:
Shivaay said 'Aah, finally we meet each other.'
Annika smiled and said 'The wait was quite long but worth it. I am sorry Shivaay, I couldn't say that day.'
Shivaay said 'Oh come on Annika, you know I can't be angry with you for long. It's alright. There are no hard feelings from my side , there never were. You did what you felt was right.'
Annika said 'Oh I missed you so much. But I promise, this time I won't mess up our relationship. Koel , I mean , I will be yours forever. And for a change I will fall in love with you first.'
Shivaay laughed and said 'That's my Annika. Come here.' He hugged her tightly and said 'Shivika will always be alive wherever they might be. I love you Annika.'
Annika snuggled and said 'I love you too Shivaay.'

Koel And Aniket looked at each other and said together 'Did you say something?'
'No' , they replied together.
They laughed and Aniket said 'Well, I will see you around.'
Koel said 'Sure. And why not today ? Let me buy you a cup of coffee, for saving me.'
Aniket said 'Oh I would love that. I will meet you at three, then.'
They walked away and Koel thought 'Maybe Meeta was right. Love does find its way. What was there in that guy , he felt so familiar.'

Aniket thought 'Why do I feel I have met that girl before and I have loved her like mad. Why did say yes to a coffee date. It's unlike me. There was something about her that drew me to her.'

Shivaay and Annika blushed inside Aniket and Koel.

True love did find its way. Maybe not when Shivaay and Annika had hoped but somewhere else , at some other time, it did. And Shivaay and Annika promised each other that now when they will be together , it will be forever and true.
