Chapter 2
I reached the city which from a sign was apparently New York City. Wow, a lot has changed since I was alive. Bright lights, brighter than any candle glowing down at me like I'm nothing, the people so much ruder than I've known, no "Hello." or "How you doing.", no more little cute houses with their freshly trimmed lawns just big tall skyscrapers. Ok, so now that I've finally figured that out I need to figure something else out, how it the world is everyone ok with me wearing pants. I mean no female was allowed to wear pants. Mum, would of given me a nice slap if she had caught me with pants on. Huh, times have changed. There is to much light in this city it is making me feel sick. Uh, can some people go to sleep here! I guess not.
Anyway, I'm hungry so hopefully someone will give me food for the night but for all I know the people around here may act just as rude as everyone on the streets. So plan A. walk around and knock on people's doors until either something happens or I get too tired. A lousy plan I know but a plan, it's all I got so it got to work or I'm done for.
I turned around in a temp to find a house but right now I just see some massive buildings with names like Google and Disney. Oh Disney I seem to remember some little kid talking about some movie thing named Frozen. Where did people get these ideas. So I keep walking for a while and saw some little kids with their parents and teenagers gossiping (what ever that was). Oh have I mentioned that I some how know all these new words even where to put them but no idea what they mean. Quite frustrating. Anyway, maybe things have changed but people still love each other.
I was prancing through NY with a smile on my face un till four girls dressed in the oddest outfits, at less they were dresses but way to short, came up to me and said "Hay dork never seen a bill board before. Your staring so hard you might burn a hole through it." Before breaking out laughing at me.
Something told me just to drop it before you got on their bad sides. But I refused to listen to it and blurted out the meanest thing I could at them. "Oh you guys think I'm a dork thing. You better go and tell that to a mirror." Wow, nice don't even know what I just said really. I also had to guess that most people had a mirror now. Real smooth Maria, real smooth. (Again with the words I don't get. How can someone be smooth!)
"Oh, I wouldn't talk back little girl or you'll get on my wrong side. I would leave and forget ever doing that before we go on. Your choice dork." I shrugged, turned around, and keep walking hoping to figure out what dork means later. Hum, maybe people arn't as nice here as they used to be almost 200 years ago. I wonder if there is anyone else who has came back from the dead. Wow, weird. I have a feeling this won't be the oddest thing that is going to happen to me.
I'm going to go for plan B. no idea what this is yet. Hum, what to do now. All I can do now is walk.
So that's what I did.
