Road Trips and Late Nights

"Carter I have an idea !!!!" I yell up to Carters room as she is still just waking up since it's only 8:00.
She walked over to her door and yelled back "May your idea is going to have to wait until after I wash my face and brush my teeth and you might just want to wait till I come down stairs!"
Finally after I finish making breakfast for us two and my coffee she walked down to sit at our counter and begin eating. After two bites she looked over at me waiting anxiously.
"Okay May what is your idea? What wild adventure are we going on? And yes I am free all day since I knew you were going to ask I have my first shoot tomorrow so I kinda got to go bed early but other then that I'm down" she relieved me of my silence.
"Okay so I was thinking we go on a road trip to La Jolla because I love it there and there is a really cute little area and I need something to vlog and I need to post soon so adventure time" I say tripping over my words.
" okay let's get ready" she agrees.
That's why I love her no matter the time or what it is she is my ride or die and just adventurous as me. We are rarely homebodies we love getting out and exploring.
We packed up bags for the beach, slip on swim suits, fill up our hydro flaks, and then we are on your way out the door into my Jeep! On our way we just listened to throwback bops, our favorite songs together, and a few why don't we songs because they are honestly just so good! Halfway through the drive Carter tells me I got a text.
" well who's it from? What does it say?" I question cause usually she just tells me what the person said.
"Well whoever 'Goof' is texted you saying that they hope you have a beautiful day with a red heart emoji" Carter informed me in the most permiscous tone possible.
" well goof is Dani and can you just reply and say well that's the plan I'm on my way to La Jolla."
" okie dokie..... soooooooo May what is going on with dani" Carter questions
"Well I really don't know... he's like really attractive and not just his looks like his personality too. I just know that I don't know if I want something too serious probably just a summer fling because in the fall I'm going to be traveling a lot and we are both busy... and we just moved here and I really like him Carter!" I sighed with obvious confusion in my voice!
Carter knows that if we talk about it more I'll just over think it and make things worse so she turns on some more music and we shortly arrive at La Jolla beach!
We walk around and get lunch at a little cafe a couple blocks away from the tourist area and then make our way down to the beach. We decide to just vlog, take so picture for our instagrams, and tan a lot.
After about 3 hour we finally have had enough with the beach and decided to head back to LA considering the fact that Carter has a shoot tomorrow and I have a collab with the Emma Chamberlain going on tomorrow we both wanna get some rest but I'll probably be up all night editing this La Jolla Vlog so I can post it tomorrow!
——time skip to when they get back home——

I pull into our parking garage and walk up to the elevator leading us to our floor. Carter was exhausted made apparent by her incoherent sentences about how she was happy she went today and she loves hanging out and she loves living in California. But all of which are mumbled and impossible to translate.
I went up to my room to change into some cheeky white shirts that matched my oversized navy blue shirt that just had the white words "Portland, Oregon" on it in an artsy font!
I've always loved to travel and fall in love with new places but for some reason Portland has a very special place in my heart. Growing up my family and I used to go on vacation every summer and one year it was my turn to choose and being a curious young kid I choose Oregon and instantly fell head over heels in love with the nature of the state and how much it reminded me of a home away from home when I wasn't in Colorado. If they whole vlog channel wouldn't have worked out I would be currently studying videography at University of Oregon the ducks. So as a keepsake from the second time I went there when I was about 15 I got a big long sleeve tee shirt hoping it wouldn't be that big on me once I was fully grown not knowing that I had already stopped growing....
I headed down stairs and began the editing process and two hours into started getting a call from Dani! My stomach automatically got butterflies as soon as I heard is voice.
Dani- Hey Gorgeous what are you up to.
May- about to give up on editing and go watch little kids movies...
Dani- got any room for me?
May- are you already on your way?
Dani- you know it! I have snacks and Gatorade so I should be there in like 5 mins! See you soon dork
Daniel said hanging up the phone. I looked down at my attire and thought well if he can't like me at my worst does he deserve me at my best?
My blonde hair was in a side braid and I had my glasses on. I resorted to wearing my white fuzzy socks too warm up my feet while editing. I walked up my ladder and cleaned my room a tad and laid some extra blankets on my bed so I wouldn't get cold as well as pulled up my Netflix account on my TV in my room so that way I wouldn't wake Carter up in the living room as well as Carter would freak out if I was sneaking Dani in at this time of night since it is now 1:00 in the morning but I just have to see him!!
I got a text from him saying he's here!
I crept down my ladder trying to be as quiet as possible I open the door to see an adorable tooth gap smile and bright blue eyes god he's so adorable! He held an assortment of my favorite snacks and two large light blue Gatorade's which are my favorite flavor. He was wearing grey joggers and a white long sleeve that was snug around his torso and the entire outfit made him even more attractive because you could tell he didn't try to impress he just came cause he wanted to relax.
I close the door behind me so I could talk to Daniel before we get inside.
"So Goof first off I missed you" I say bring him into a hug wrapping my arms around his neck standing on my tippy toes due to how tall he is he gets one arm loose from the snacks he was holding and slipped it around my waist. "Second off this is tooo cute. Third off Carter doesn't know you are coming over and she has to wake up early tomorrow so we can't wake her up so yeah welcome" I say while opening the door and sneaking my way back up to my bedroom Daniel sat down the snacks on a shelf near my bed and took off his white vans and continued to take off his long sleeve.
"Is this a strip show cause I didn't bring my ones" I said while trying my hardest not to drool over his abs and the way his joggers slouched just enough to show the Calvin Klein band of his boxers as well as keep a smirk on my face.
" alright don't prank me like you aren't trying to tease me with your little booty shorts as well as your Portland tee!" Daniel replied looking me up and down.
"Okay the shorts were just a coincidence cause you told me you were coming over in 5 mins and the Portland tee what does that have to do with this?" I question honestly confused
" well I'm from Portland! Come on dork you are such a fake fan" Daniel jokes!
Of course he's from Portland he is literally perfect!!!!!
" oh my god really I love Oregon buttttt ....... Colorado is still better" I say beginning a friendly argument knowing it would push Dani's buttons.
" I've only been to Colorado for the concerts and snowboarding once but I would still say Oregon is a lot better" Dani says entertaining my little fued.
" well I think I'm a lot better" I say with a smirk and Dani looks at me confused I finish the sentence after giving him time to think but right before I could say "then you". Dani finishes for me " then the girl of my dreams cause well yeah you are he said picking me up under my legs and throwing me over his shoulder carrying me to the bed and laying me down tickling me as I explode in fits of laughter begging him to stop in between breaths. Finally he settles down and begins to cuddle into me in silence but not an awkward silence like a peaceful silence. Dani begins to play with my hair while analyzing me and I stare into his blue eyes as the shift back and forth as he explores a new feature to me.
" you know may you are really gorgeous" Dani mumbles to me just loud enough that I can hear it I snuggle my head into the crook of his neck and pull him closer to me!
"You know Dani you are really perfect for me"I mumble under my breath but obviously not quiet enough because Dani chuckled and replied " I wouldn't say im perfect but you on the other hand" a Dani says lifting my chin with his index finger so we are now nose to nose.
"You are perfect especially for me" and before I can even say a word Daniel kisses me! Like elementary school love first kiss butterflies again. Daniel makes me feel like this is the first time I've ever liked anyone. He's so unique and so sweet and so special.
"So about that movie Dork what are we watching Daniel says and I flip on to my other side and scoot my back into his chest and feel him rest his arm on my waist pulling me in closer to him! We decide on finding Nemo and half way through the movie I heard a combination of Daniels small snores and his heart beat that slowly out me to sleep.
