You Are The Reason {Ending}

Jack's POV

"I will never let anything happen to you ever again Jack."

Those were words Mark said months ago. Me and him both got released from the hospital and now are healed up.

I'm not gunna sugar code anything. These past few months have been hard on the both of us. We had regain our trust back. 

But, we did it, and I'm proud to say that we're officially okay. I look up at Mark. His eyes were focused on the tv until I looked at him.

I looked at his perfectly shaped lips. He was smirking. "Hey Jack, can you stand up for a second?" He asked, turning off the tv.

I was skeptical but did as he said. He took my hand as he stood up. "You know I love you with all my heart. No matter how much we fight or argue, my feelings don't change for you. I want to show you the world. So.."

He reached into his pocket. My mind went through a ton of outcomes to this, but I hoped it was the one I immediately thought of.

He pulled out a tiny black box and opened it, exposing a ring. I covered my mouth in pure shock. "Will you marry me?"

Tears of happiness streamed down my face. "Y-Yes!" He slid the ring on my finger. I pulled him up so I could kiss him.

Mark's POV

I kissed Jack passionately. He immediately kissed back. I wrapped my arms around his waist protectively.

He wrapped his arms around my neck. After a few seconds, I broke the kiss. He had fresh tears streaming down his face.

I used my thumb to wipe them away. He looked up at me with his bright blue eyes that made me fall in love with him.

"I love you Jack, so much." I say, holding back tears. "I love you too Mark."

I smiled. Not only did I get to marry the love of my life, but I've learned a very important lesson in the process. If you love someone, don't let them go.

Show them how much they mean to you. If you don't, someone else will. Over my journey, that's what I've learned.

Don't wait for someone else to show them love when you can show them true love.

Jack showed me that I could spend 24 hours with him and still miss him the second he left. That's why I proposed to him.

I didn't care if we were still in high school. I want all of him, good or bad.
I couldn't live without him.

I know, it's cliché, but it's true. But deep down, I knew that this was just the beginning to a new chapter.
