Coal POV
I walk to the vending machine, sought of pissed off with Ryder. I mean, you think your best friend would be supportive of you in most things you do right? I grabb a drink from the machine and I hear the clicking of shoes behind me, I turn around to to see Blake walking to the machine*
"Oh hey Coal" she beams, her voice changed to something more bright and chipper than what I've heard her speak before. It didn't sound right. It didnt sound like her.
"Somethings wrong with your voice" I point out and she sighs
"Your good" her voice went back to normal and I smiled
"Thats better" I smile and she has a blush on her face, I thought: Wow she's adorable.
"So what are you doing here?" I say leaning on the vending machine, god why do I have to be cringey as fuck in these situations. She giggled at the small talk
"Well getting a drink a-" i slam my fist on the machine, a drink dropping out from the bottom as I handed it to her
"Here" i say and she looks at the can, before taking it
"Thanks" she smiled and we got into one of those stare competitions like the one outside the dorms. We started to walk around the campus, her indirectly giving me a tour of the place.
"So Blake, what do you like to do?" I ask, trying to get to know the girl better
"Well... I like to read, Um training is another one" she says and I smile, she seemed to be very isolated, until we spoke that is.
"Read? What books to do you read?" I say and look at her pocket and smirk, laughing slightly
"Well no-" she noticed my laughing "Whats so funny" she asks questioningly
"Ninja's of love huh?" I say and she blushes a thousand shades of red,
"Dont get me wrong, its a good book, I would just hide the cover" I say and bow jokingly, before walking off
Blake POV
I stand there, stunned, I look down and see his hat. it must've fell off when he bowed. I turn back and run, going to give it to him. I go around the corner to see Cardin squaring off with Coal.
"Your a faunus!" he says venomously
"And?! Whats the big fucking deal" he retorts, getting into her face
"Faunus, especially wolf faunus, or horrible and violent" he spits and he growls, putting a hand to his throat and slamming him into a wall
"Disrespect me one more time, I dare you?!" he growls as he tries to pry his hand from his throat, I walk over and split them up. My hands on Coals chest, and I cant help but notice how well defined he feels... i wonder how it look- STOP BLAKE. This is supposed to be serious. I push Him away from Cardin and she gasps for air
"The fuck Coal?!" I ask in shock
"He's the one disrespecting Faunus! But no he gets away with it as people fear him for no reason" he spat venomously, pissed all the way off
"Cardin you dumbass, you've got 5 seconds to run before I let Coal rip you in half" I say as he looks at me then jets off. I look up at Coal and his wolf ears were twitching madly
"Why'd you stop me?" he asks, his annoyance slightly lowering
"Even though I'm supposed to hate you, I dont want you going to jail for a murder charge" I say and he laughs slightly before looking concerned
"Why are you "supposed" to hate me?" he asks worried
"cats aren't supposed to like dogs" I say and he smirks
"I knew it!" he says in triumph as I blush
"How?" I ask and he looks down at me
"I saw your bow twitching and since I couldnt sence a wolf, there was only one other faunus type with those type of ears. I facepalm, its too obvious
"... of course..." I say in embarrassment,
"Please don't wear your bow around me... its like your hiding from me" he asks and I feel a sense of possessiveness from him. A sense of dominance. And I'm not gonna lie, it made him hotter. I nod and he pulled the bow off gently smiling down at me reassuringly all the while. He smile back at him and his partner taps him on the shoulder, whispering something to him. Coal huffs in an annoyed way then looks back at me
"I've just got to go talk to Ozpin, talk to you later Blake" he says before walking off. I sigh, watching him walk away
"That was my chance" I mutter to myself, I walk back into my dorm and start to read again.
