Katherine Meyers was just a normal girl. She was 5'6, had long hair. Kats eyes reminded everyone of a cat. Katherine was a skillful girl. She knew sword skills. Knew how to fight. Everyday she would practice on her own in the garrage. Half of the school year was gone in a blink of an eye. It was a Thursday morning. Her mother – Lizzie was shining like always. Lizzie was a bright woman. Her eyes were hazel with a green sircle in the middle. When Kat got out of the bed, dinner was already served. Her father's name is John. His puffy eyes looked as dull as the magazine he was reading. John never really got into the family stuff. He would always sit alone, unless he had to eat. Katherine went downstairs and sat at the table full of bacon, eggs and tea cups that were surprisingly empty. Every morning when she comes down to eat everything would be already served, but this time the cups were empty.
„Good morning, sweetie" said Lizzie, „How did you sleep?"
„Awesome" said Katherine with sarcasm.
John came by, grabbed a glass of water and sat at the table. No one said a word. Kat got a feeling that something was off, but didn't mention it. She grabbed her lunch and went off to school. Her shiny, brown hair danced with the wind, and the sparkling green eyes looked as alive as always. From the corner of her eye she saw a handsome guy approaching. She looked over, his hair was the same color as Katherines. But his eyes were astonishing. They were gray as the fog in the middle of the night. He was tall, dark and mysterious. His jaw was defined. He had a buzz cut, but it really suits him. He looked like a badass. But the one no one would talk to, because they were afraid. He had a stubble too.
The guy was walking behind her all the way to school. Kat thought it was a little weird. She looked back and the mysterious guy was staring at her. Not in a creepy way, in a sexy way.
When she got to school the bell had already rung. They started rushing to class and by the time they got there, the teacher was standing outside the door.
I'm sorry, Mrs. Porter." They both yelled at the same time.
They walked in to the old wooden classroom. The tables were all handmade, so it was pretty shabby. Katherine liked this kind of vibe. The students looked dull. No one was talking to each other, or laughing. The handsome guy walked in like nothing was wrong and sat at the only free table in the back. Katherine looked around and no other table was free. She didn't have a choice, so she sat next to him. The teacher started talking:
"So, now that everyone is here, we can start. Today I have a project for you. You are going to pair up with the person who's sitting next to either you like it or not. We're going to go to the forest nearby. You're going to be inspecting wild life. Is that clear?"
"Yes Mrs. Porter" said everyone.
"Okay, grab your books and pens, and let's go."
Katherine was bummed, because she couldn't do it with her usual partner in crime, Nicky. Nicky was a sweet girl, and the only friend of Katherine. She had long, blonde hair, and blue eyes. Nicky was a couple of inches shorter that Kat. Katherine always would bully her because she's so short. Of course not in a mean way.
Everyone stood up and proceeded to go outside. The teacher opened the front door, it creaked while it was opened. Everyone got outside and went to the forest outside. The path leading to it was pretty scary, even for the teacher. Around the school was an old metal fence. Mrs. Porter opened the gate leading to the back of the school, and everyone proceeded to walk towards the forest. Nicky caught up with Katherine and started talking.
"I'm sorry that we couldn't be partners in this project. I thought you weren't coming to school, because you were so late."
"No it's fine. I've got that hunk to be with me. I guess you could call me lucky, I mean look at him. He is god-like.
